General Hospital Spoilers: Does Ric's Art Gift For Liz Tie Into Delilah's Backstory?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease an interesting theory; could Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) art gift for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) tie into Delilah Wilson’s (Lily Cardone) backstory?

Receipts and whatnot from New York City art galleries were found in Delilah’s luggage, and Ava Jerome (Maura West) is from New York, and the artist was one of her connections.

This Deal For This Art Could Have Been In Place For A Few Months

This deal for this art could have been in place for a few months, possibly tying into Delilah’s business for being in Port Charles, among other things.

That is  even though Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) recently shed some light on a past connection between them as well.

If this artist was connected to Delilah, it’s possible she could have been his ex-wife since a divorce was mentioned as a problem in obtaining the art.

And Ethan implied in his sad goodbye at the pier, when he burned Delilah’s photo, that he regretted not getting there sooner to save her-might Delilah have been running from her ex?

Could this artist from New York-or wherever he lives-have abused his pregnant wife, and followed her to Port Charles?

Chase And Brook Lynn Are Digging Into Delilah’s Background

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) have started digging into Delilah’s background, in an effort to find family members.

It’s part of the process to adopt Phoebe Wilson (Luna and Lucia Creighton) that’s a necessary evil.

Might they dig up some information about the artist who painted Elizabeth’s gift, or was he out of the picture before Delilah became pregnant? It was implied in the conversation about it being difficult for Ava to get the artwork that the divorce the artist was going through was very ugly.

Whether the ugliness was over division of property-which could be very likely-or the ugliness was because of the reason for the divorce wasn’t revealed.

Where Does Ethan Fit Into Delilah’s Backstory?

There’s a huge question as to where Ethan fits into Delilah’s backstory-as well as why he was so long delayed in getting to Port Charles to meet up with her.

The photo he had, which showed her blowing a kiss, could imply they were lovers-but it was clear that she needed protection, in which he had failed.

Whether he is baby Phoebe’s father or not, he seems to have been okay with Chase and Brook Lynn raising her; but maybe he’s just cut out to be a single father.

Perhaps there will be an answer soon to how Ethan, Delilah, and Ric’s gifted artwork to Elizabeth all fit together. And once the mystery is solved, baby Phoebe will have more of a living family tree.
