Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the focus of Neil Sean’s criticism on Saturday night. He spoke about them on his Daily News Headlines vlog on YouTube. He had plenty to say. His verdict wasn’t kind.
The Royals Who Got It Right
Sean argued that the Sussexes have learned nothing from the royal family’s past showbiz mistakes. He pointed to other royals who got it right. The Queen appeared in the Paddington sketch and King Charles III and Queen Camilla in The Doctor Who TARDIS clip.
He called those moments “brilliant” and “well executed.” Princess Anne came out of a game show “unscathed” because, as Sean put it, people are “petrified to actually say anything” against her.
Prince Edward? Not so lucky. His foray into television production “really was kind of the end of his show business career.”
Meghan’s Ellen Regret
According to Sean, Meghan now “deeply regrets” her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show. She thought it was a big opportunity. Ellen was huge in America. But then Ellen made her crouch on the floor and drink from a baby bottle.

Sean suggested this was deliberate. “Ellen DeGeneres picked things like that so that she could belittle you,” he said. Apparently, Meghan now avoids watching that clip online.
A Puzzling Pregnancy Photo
Sean then turned to a photo of Meghan Markle during her pregnancy. He made a point of saying he isn’t an expert. He also said he wasn’t suggesting anything improper.
But he still asked, “What are all those lumps and bumps underneath that particular smoke?” He finished the thought with a blunt, “I have never seen anything look quite like that.”
Harry’s History of Shock Tactics
Prince Harry didn’t escape either. Sean reminded viewers of the Nazi uniform. He mentioned Harry’s infamous game of strip billiards in Las Vegas.
He suggested Harry “wanted to shock” and “wanted to embarrass his family.” Sean added that Harry once saw himself as “the better-looking prince.”
The Podcast That Backfired
The main focus was Harry’s recent appearance on a comedy podcast called Joe Mara Will See You Now. Sean claimed Harry knew very little about the podcast before agreeing to appear.
He allegedly hadn’t watched much of it. He didn’t know what he was getting into. The hosts also stressed that Harry had asked to appear on the podcast rather than being invited, something Sean described as a smart move on their part.
Sean claimed Harry was furious about the interview afterwards, saying his PR team tried to stop interviewers from asking certain questions.
Not Buying It?
Sean dismissed the idea outright. “If you didn’t want asking about it,” he said, “why talk about it in the first place?”
He also questioned the timing. Coming so soon after Harry lost his legal battle against the Daily Mail, Sean argued the podcast looked like an attempt to give the duke what he called a “brand new bounce.”
In Sean’s opinion, it did not work. He suggested Harry’s appearance failed to generate the reaction he wanted and predicted there would be no invitation to return.
One-Time Guests
Sean went on to argue that Prince Harry and Meghan have become one-time guests on major platforms. Whether it is Bloomberg or a popular podcast, he believes they rarely build lasting relationships with interviewers.
He claimed the couple have a habit of creating “an enemy even before the finishing tape,” making repeat invitations less likely.
Sean also argued that they often seek publicity, only to regret the attention afterwards and try to limit the fallout.
Stuck in a Cycle
Sean contrasted that approach with the wider Royal Family, whom he said gradually learned to deal with public attention through humour and experience.
Harry and Meghan, by comparison, appear to repeat the same pattern, he argued, adding that media outlets seem to have noticed.
