General Hospital Spoilers: Lucas’ Grim Discovery – Paralytic Found In Brennan’s Autopsy?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) will make a discovery this week on the ABC soap.

Might he discover remnants of the paralytic drug used to make both Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) “have strokes” and be “locked-in” in Brennan’s autopsy? And perhaps something else, too?

Key Takeaways

  • Lucas may discover something shocking in Brennan’s autopsy results
  • Traces of the mysterious paralytic could still be detectable
  • Drew’s supposed sleeping pill may have been poison
  • Ava could face serious trouble over Brennan’s death
  • Lucas’ discovery could turn the investigation into a murder case

Lucas Usually Doesn’t Do Autopsies, But He May Evaluate Lab Tests For Substances

It’s not likely that Lucas will perform the autopsy itself, but he may evaluate the associated lab tests for Brennan’s cause of death.

In fact, Lucas may insist on being in the loop because nothing about that whole scenario of two previously healthy men having strokes resulting in locked-in syndrome in the same house fit.

And now there’s the viral exposé that Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) wrote and is being sued over by Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

Even though Brennan has been in the shallow grave for a couple of months, blood and other body fluids may still be viable for testing, if a bit contaminated by decomposition.

Thanks to the science of forensics, bodies much longer dead than Brennan’s have had their causes of death successfully determined!

Meanwhile, Brennan’s death after Ava spiked his drink could become an important part of the investigation.

Brennan Had Recovered From The “Stroke” But Residual Paralytic Could Still Be In His Body

Even though Brennan had recovered from the “stroke,” since unlike Drew, he only got one dose, residual paralytic could still be in his body.

Supposedly, this paralytic was supposed to be untraceable.

But that was referring to regular lab tests, not necessarily forensic autopsy methods.

Not only that, but Brennan had been drugged, as General Hospital fans will remember.

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) gave Ava Jerome (Maura West) what he referred to as a “sleeping pill” to “keep Brennan busy” while he broke into his Metro Court suite.

Drew was looking for some leverage Brennan had against him, most likely tied to the illegal use of campaign donations and also most likely in his black box briefcase.

Ava crushed the pill and stirred it into Brennan’s drink, which was later said to be a double scotch.

Could traces of that substance still be found in Brennan’s remains?

As Ava begins questioning whether Drew really gave her a sleeping pill, the autopsy results could become even more important.

Lucas Makes A Grim Discovery – Residual Paralytic And Poison In The Tissues!

Lucas may make a grim discovery: residual paralytic and poison in the tissues, according to the forensic report.

He could be the first one to see it, being given the task of delivering it to the authorities.

Little does he know how tangled up his own Aunt Ava is in this mess.

She was set up by Drew to take the fall since no one saw him that night at the Metro Court Gardens, but everyone saw her!

So, no surprise if the “sleeping pill” was actually poison and perhaps interacted with the alcohol in the double scotch.

Either way, it could have contributed to Brennan’s death.

As previously reported, Drew and Ava’s plan to drug Brennan was always a dangerous gamble.

So now, disappearance has officially become death, and motive could officially become murder.

The question is now, at least for Ava, did anyone see her crush that pill and put it in Brennan’s drink?

Annemarie’s Take

If Lucas discovers that Brennan was poisoned, Ava could be in serious trouble! But Drew is the one who supplied that mysterious pill, and I’d love to see him finally exposed. Do you think Lucas will uncover the truth about Brennan’s death?
