ITV Coronation Street spoilers reveal that there is good news to report for fans of the ITV sudser. While the show has returned to filming, it has done so without its older cast members. This was considered a precaution while the sudser gets back to set under new coronavirus protocols.
But that is all about to change as the show has released news as to when the entire cast will once again be reunited on the cobbles.
Coronation Street spoilers – When Will The Full Cast Be Back To The Cobbles?
Digital Spy is reporting that Coronation Street is anticipating that its mature cast members will be back later this autumn. This confirms reports that the elder statesmen would be back by fall.
This should include actors such as William Roache (Ken Barlow), 88, Malcolm Hebden (Norris Cole), 80, Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts), 76, and Barbara Knox (Rita Tanner), 86. This group of actors has not been back to the set since the show resumed filming in June.
Coronation Street Spoilers – A Senior Group Of Actors Is Expected To Be Back This Fall
Along with the older cast members, a second group has been excluded from the set. That group includes actors with underlying health conditions. Age and underlying health conditions are considered to put individuals at greater risk for contracting coronavirus.
While the series has resumed operations, it is not business as usual. The set has become the site of increased vigilance and mandates and these safety measures are constantly evolving to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Coronation Street Spoilers – The Return Date For One Group Of Actors Has Just Been Announced
The new return date for will no doubt thrill fans who have missed seeing the entire cast in action.
In fact, The Mirror reported that 74-year-old Maureen Lipman, who portrays Evelyn Plummer, and David Neilson, 71, who plays Roy Cropper, were on the set on Friday, August 21.

What other measures are being observed to best ensure the actors’ safety? There is a six-foot or two-meter social-distancing rule and filming takes place with small groups assigned to a dedicated workspace. Plenty of sanitation is taking place and temperatures are taken on a regular basis. In addition, some employees of the soap, such as office staff, continue to work from home when it is possible for them to do so in order to limit the people in the building.
