The Friday, February 21, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) shocking the Forresters with his marriage proposal. Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) is stunned as well when Thomas asks her to marry him and be a stepmother to his son. Zoe has a proposal of her own. She can’t marry Thomas until he says that he loves her.
Thomas says that, just because he hasn’t said the words “I love you”, doesn’t mean that he hasn’t felt them. Thomas finally says the words Zoe needed to hear. Zoe accepts—she’s thrilled to be Mrs. Thomas Forrester. An upset Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) runs up the stairs with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) on his heels.

Thomas’ proposal disgusts Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). They agree that Thomas is using his son to manipulate Hope.
Zoe hesitates when Thomas asks Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to post their engagement announcement on social media and have half the world know. Zoe worries that Thomas is rushing their relationship. Thomas calms her fears by telling her that he can’t wait to be married. Zoe falls for Thomas’ lies and is excited to have a future with him.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) hugs Zoe and welcomes her into the family and the madness. Brooke blasts Thomas. The proposal stunt proved that Douglas means nothing to him. Thomas says that Hope will help Douglas get over his feelings about the engagement. Liam deduces that Thomas plans to make Douglas so upset over the fake proposal that Hope has to be with Thomas for Douglas’ sake. Liam won’t let Thomas get away with hurting Zoe and Douglas.
Hope comforts her son. Douglas says that Zoe is nice, but he doesn’t want any other mommy than Hope. Hope assures Douglas that she will always be his mommy and will always be there for him. Douglas says that his first mommy told him that as well. Douglas begs Hope to marry Thomas. He says that his daddy told him that he loves Hope and wants to marry her, not Zoe. Hope is torn by her distrust of Thomas and her love for Douglas.
Brooke gives Zoe unsolicited advice. She warns Zoe that she should run, not walk, away from Thomas. Zoe believes that Thomas is ready to move on from Hope and start a future with Zoe. Brooke says that Thomas was watching Hope’s reaction, not Zoe’s, while he was proposing. Thomas is using Zoe to get to Hope. Zoe puts Brooke in her place. Zoe says that she admires Hope but Hope is not every thing to everyone and Zoe doesn’t care if Brooke believes in their relationship or not.

Thomas thanks Ridge and Eric Forrester (John McCook) for accepting Zoe into their family. Ridge worries that the engagement is a little sudden. Ridge wants to know how well Thomas really knows Zoe. He demands that Thomas reveal the real reason behind the rushed proposal. Thomas says that he’s trying to accept that Hope doesn’t love him and Zoe is helping him to move on. Thomas is sick and tired of everyone questioning his motives. Ridge is satisfied with Thomas’ answer.
Steffy tries to support her brother. Liam warns Steffy not to fall for Thomas’ act. Thomas is counting on Hope feeling so guilty about Douglas that she gives in to Thomas.

I doubt it. They need to bring this story to an end. I am so sick of Thomas and all his manipulations. I hope Vinny rats him out….hopefully to Ridge so that dummy can open his eyes and see that Brooke was right.
