Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Thomas Nearing Twisted Goal – Hope Open To Marriage Proposal

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has nearly realized his goal. Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is open to the marriage proposal that Thomas coached his son into making on his behalf.

Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) has been brainwashed by his dad. Thomas has been encouraging the child he had with Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) to play on her fragile state as often as possible since shortly after the Forrester’s flew in from New York, following the surprise death of Godfrey’s character.

Without Thomas’ help, Hope and Douglas have naturally bonded. They are two longing souls who lost a loved one and have embraced the good-natured warmth of each other’s kindness.

It must be said that Thomas’ unchecked mental illness is actually masking his intent to do right by his child. He sincerely does want to ease Douglas’ pain, in having lost his mother, and sees Hope as the specific woman who can take over for Caroline. Thomas understands that Douglas’ love for his mom will never end and that Hope represents a bridge to a secure future.

On the above point, Thomas is right. However, Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) belief, along with that of Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), is that Thomas is manipulating the situation he and Douglas were forced into due because of Caroline’s death. They both recognize what’s actually happening.

Thomas is using Caroline’s absence and Hope’s perceived loss of Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) as shared points of vulnerability that can be exploited. Of course, Liam and Brooke don’t yet know that Thomas is aware of who Phoebe Forrester really is.

The ruse Thomas is furthering will be over the moment either person gains that knowledge, assuming he doesn’t hold either of them hostage, or commit some other dastardly act in response to their awareness. Emma Barber (Nia Sioux), watching from above, is surely concerned about this possibility becoming real as well.

The current situation feels inevitable, meaning that a quickie marriage between Thomas and Hope could happen. However, as long as nuptials aren’t presided over by a legal authority, like Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), or someone similar, then then this outcome can be avoided.

Hope could become the surprise savior of this situation. While she’s blind to what Thomas is doing, she also just admitted to Liam that she doesn’t love Atkinson’s desperate character. So, it’s possible that Thomas’ twisted goal won’t be reached.
