The Friday, July 31, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens in the hospital as Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doctor increases the dosage of her pain medication. Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Dovlan). Steffy’s chest x-rays worry the doctor. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) demands to know what’s wrong with his daughter. The diagnosis is a sprained back and fractured ribs. The good news is that the pain won’t last forever.

Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is stunned to learn that his father was responsible for Steffy’s accident. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) goes on the defensive. He did everything he could, including swerving and braking, to avoid hitting Steffy’s motorcycle. Liam tells his dad it was a freak accident.

Ridge reports Steffy’s condition to Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). Bill pleads with Ridge to allow him to apologize to Steffy for putting her in the hospital. Ridge tells Bill to go home.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam Spencer Visits Steffy Forrester

Liam pays Steffy a visit. He doesn’t know what he would have done if something had happened to her. Steffy worries about her daughter and feels guilty for riding her motorcycle and leaving Kelly Spencer behind. Liam says that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) volunteered to watch Kelly. Steffy suffers through the pain so that they’ll discharge her and she can see her daughter.

Liam questions Steffy about the accident, but it’s all a blur. Brooke and Bill interrupt. Ridge stands guard over Steffy. Steffy wonders how she wound up in the hospital. Bill says mea culpa—he struck her with his car. He says he was terrified when he realized what he had done and she was lying on the ground helpless. Steffy forgives him but doubles over in pain.

B&B Recap & Spoilers – Sally Spectra Collapses

Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) freak out when Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) collapses. Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) wonders if Sally is faking. They rush Sally to the emergency room. Her doctor reports that Sally fell because of a panic attack and allows visitors if they promise not to upset the patient. Sally says that waking up in a hospital after pretending to be dying is embarrassing. She apologizes as her visitors try to calm her. She says everyone gets what they deserve in the end.

Sally wants to speak to Wyatt alone. She feels awful for misleading everyone and promises to apologize to all the people who went out on a limb for her, including Ridge, Steffy, and Katie Spencer (Heather Tom). The fear of losing Wyatt drove her desperate plan. She wanted to return to the life that they were building. She hopes that Wyatt can forgive her, remember the good times, and forget her lies. Wyatt considers her request.
