But perhaps the one most on the precipice is that of his adorable son, Douglas Forrester (Henry David Samiri).

Douglas has been pushed and pulled between the adults like a ragged rope in a game of tug-of-war, and it’s entirely understandable if he’s a little frayed around the edges.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – Douglas Forrester is happy now, but for how long?

At the moment Douglas is happy as a clam, and in large part it’s because his deviant dad is nowhere to be seen.

At the hands of Thomas, the poor little guy has been tormented and emotionally abused, and it’s a wonder he’s come out as well as he has from all of the machinations.

But kids are resilient and there are tons of loving people in his life to make up for his poor excuse of a dad.

The scene in which he “married” Lope was absolutely heartening as he looked so happy at long last. But, how long will his joy last, this is a soap after all, where happiness is always in short supply.

B&B Spoilers – Thomas Forrester is on the loose and capable of anything

At the moment Thomas is unaccounted for and his favorite way to manipulate is by using his son as a weapon. Douglas is vulnerable in so many ways, the least of which is to his father’s sick schemes.

With Lope now back together, is there any doubt that Thomas will once again try to break them up? It’s hard for a tiger to change his stripes, and in all likelihood, Thomas is planning a devastating move to take back Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Douglas.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – What happens next in the Forrester clan?

At the very least Thomas will conspire to make Hope miserable, and if his mommy is sad, so is Douglas. It’s almost heartbreaking to see him so on top of the world, knowing that the shoe may drop at any moment.

At Lope’s faux marriage ceremony Douglas proclaimed them a family, and it seemed to foreshadow a coming doom since no one stays this happy on a sudser for more than a few days.
