It is confirmed that Thomas will continue to spiral, have breakthroughs, then break down again. He is rushed to the hospital and Finn was right — the hallucinations are caused by head trauma. Unfortunately, they might be too late. It is stated that Hope, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) stand vigil while Thomas fights for his life. Now, there is no word on Atkinson leaving the soap, so we think Thomas will end up being okay.
