Coronation Street Alexandra Mardell Expresses Support For Her On-Screen Dad Simon Gregson

Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell has shared her thoughts regarding her on-screen dad, Simon Gregson’s participation in the ITV reality show “I’m A Celebrity.”

During her interview with Metro, “Corrie’s” Emma Brooker expressed how proud she is of her co-star Simon Gregson and how she missed him on set. The 28-year-old actress revealed that Simon always makes her laugh on set.

“I miss my dad. I haven’t voted for him in trials, but for him to stay in. Hopefully, I will catch with him soon, but not too soon! I want to see him in the final,” Mardell stated.

Recently in the reality show, Simon touched the hearts of the audience when he took part in a dance-off together with the footballer, David Ginola.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Jenny Connor Shows Support

Sally Ann Matthews, who portrays the role of Jenny Connor of the ITV soap, also showed support to Gregson as she posted on Twitter saying: “Simon’s giggle. It’s just the best. #ImACeleb.”

“Danny & Simon, now there’s a dream team #ImACeleb,” she added when Simon Gregson and “Emmerdale’s” Danny Miller teamed up for their Grotty Grotto “festive” themed trial.

The two actors must collect stars in exchange for their evening meal, but they still have to face challenges along the way, which include chewing off fish eyes, engulfing their heads in fermented eggnogs, and putting their heads in boxes filled with insects. The team then bagged seven out of eight stars.

In Matthew’s tweet, fans also showed their support for Simon in the comment section and hailed Gregson and Miller as the perfect pair.

In one of her recent posts on Instagram, Mardell shared a photo of her smiling with “I SAID YES” as her background. She captioned the post, “I said YES to the dress! And I cannot WAIT to wear it!”

Fans were delighted for Alexandra Mardell to tie the knot soon but their excitement at her wedding contradicts her character’s upcoming wedding in the ITV soap, for she will discover the whole truth regarding her on-screen fiancé, Curtis Delamere (Sam Retford) that the latter was lying about his unknown heart condition.
