Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Daisy Midgeley’s insecurities will resurface as she learns that her beau and his ex will be spending a lot of time at work.
Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) will have to face the truth that her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and his ex, the returnee Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) will be seeing each other more often at school as the barmaid’s previous tactics to thwart her application process at Weatherfield High didn’t work.
Upcoming next on April 8’s episode, Daisy enjoys her moment with the teacher at the Rovers but their lovely time gets disrupted when Nicky drops by to tell Daniel about the good news. Nicky has been offered a teaching assistant job, which she chose as a career to start afresh with her daughter Maisie at the cobbles.
‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Daisy Midgeley Turns Evil
Expectedly, Daisy isn’t pleased about the news, especially since she previously worked with the troublemaker Max Turner (Paddy Bever) to give Nicky a hard time at school which made the applicant hopeless that she’ll get accepted. Before that, Daisy even lied to Nicky about Daniel moving down South to stop them from meeting each other but now she can’t stop the duo from seeing each other as workers.
Realizing her defeat, her insecurities are all over the place and so she thinks of ways to sabotage her success. Daisy starts to question Nicky’s past, oblivious to the fact that she has a dark one as a sex worker in 2020 and that Daniel was the one who saved her out from that pit. Will she discover that she used to be an escort? How will Daniel react if she learns about Daisy’s evil plans? Will it be the end for the couple?
‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Nicky Wheatley ’s Past And Present
Nicky isn’t ashamed of her past but her present career means the world to her because it’s for her daughter Maisie.
Actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson previously explained her character’s transformation, and it’s having a job that’s “socially acceptable” which her child can be proud of.
“Maisie can tell the world what her mum does for the first time,” she told Digital Spy.
The actress confirmed Nicky will hide her past from other people not through shame but to get away from the need of explaining herself to everyone all the time.
Now that Daisy is a step closer to sabotaging her dream life for herself and for Maisie, Kimberly previously teased that Nicky is the right match for Daisy if the tensions get high.
“I think it is going to be spicy! This is when Corrie is at its very best. They are very similar and share traits, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out,” she added.
