Coronation Street Spoilers: Daniel Worries How Lydia Reacts After Discovering Him With Daisy

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Daniel will be in a tight spot after his current fling Lydia Chambers and his former fire Daisy Midgeley cross paths in his flat.

In upcoming scenes of the long-running ITV soap, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) visits Daniel (Rob Mallard) to check on him after witnessing his fight against the troublemaker’s dad David (Jack P. Shepherd) on the street. David accuses the teacher of lying after he told the police that the troubled teen Max (Paddy Bever) accidentally stumbled down the stairs.

When Daisy sees Daniel alone at his flat, she confesses she doubts he’s telling the truth about Max’s accident. In reality, Daniel shoved Max out of the door after discovering that he broke some clay imprints of Daniel, Bertie, and Sinead’s (Katie McGlynn) hands.

Daniel is quick to fight back against Daisy but their argument ends with a passionate kiss after the latter admits she still wants him. While the pair seals lips, Lydia (Rebecca Ryan) enters Daniel’s flat. How will Daniel explain the situation?

“Coronation Street” star Rob Mallard has admitted that his character Daniel is “very wary” of both the girls in his life, especially now that Lydia, his current fling, is closer to discovering his past spark with the show villain Daisy.

Daniel is also wary of Daisy after she pulled a few tricks on him, including using his son Bertie to boost her social media following. However, when asked whether who is he rooting for his character, Rob admitted he’s team Daisy.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Fiery Streak

Speaking to Digital Spy, Rob revealed that Daniel is attracted to Daisy’s “fiery streak” opposite to Sinead who was an introvert and is enjoying the “fun” Daisy brings compared to his past relationships.

“I think he should be with Daisy because there’s a lot for both of them to get out of that relationship,” Rob revealed. He also added that either long-term or short, their relationship will be “good for both of them.”

Rob also confessed that although Daniel likes Lydia, he is using her in a way to provoke Daisy that he’d moved on from her, but she doesn’t have “the same pull” for the teacher compared to Daisy.

How will this affect Lydia whose nature isn’t yet revealed on the soap? Will she be the soap’s next biggest villain after learning that she’s just a rebound?
