“Coronation Street” spoilers revealed a real kissing scene between the ITV soap’s actors is set to air this week since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upcoming episodes will have the footballer James Bailey (Nathan Graham) at a crossroads when bombarded with personal questions by journalists in a press conference after few leaked pictures of him with flame Danny Brad (Dylan Brady) circulated online.
Previous Coronation Street episodes showed James’ manager informed him of his promotion after football legend Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) announced his retirement. The overwhelmed footballer shared his win with Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) at the bar and found his old sweetheart Danny there.
When the two shared lunch, James suggested giving their relationship another try, but when James proposed that they have to hide it, Danny walked away.
However, little did they know a couple of youngsters took photos of them together and posted them online with demeaning comments regarding James’ sexuality.
“Coronation Street” Spoilers — Sealed With A Kiss
Corrie will air its first kissing scene since the onset of the pandemic on Wednesday (June 30) as James took the promotion press conference to come out publicly as gay.
Danny meets him and announces he’s watched the conference and that he wants them to be together, ending with a passionate moment.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, the star Nathan Graham revealed Danny is one of the reasons why his character has bravely confessed to the public.
Having to choose between his career and personal life which the Coronation Street actor described as “inner turmoil,” he explained James was afraid of the backlash and how people will respond.

“Even though he’s in a good space mentally, he’s not really ready for that added pressure that might come with being in a relationship that’s out there and everything else that comes with it,” he explained
“I think it’s a fear within himself. He automatically fears the worst situation. I guess he does have the support of his friends and family, but it’s the fear of what will happen? Obviously he knows that the club are not going to get rid of him, but with the fans and stuff, there’s too much pressure there,” he added.
Pride Month On Corrie
The filming of the episode written by Damon Alexis-Rochefort as part of Pride month was permitted after the actors took part in the soap’s tested cohort.
Since last year, TV shows have been using creative ways to film intimate moments in the set in challenge to social distancing rules and health protocols. Two of which are Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Alina Pop’s (Ruxandra Porojnicu) kissing scene, which used a real-life couple, and Abi Franklin’s (Sally Carman) emotional scene of saying goodbye to son Sev (Harry Visinoni’s) which had Harry’s real-life girlfriend as Abi’s hand double.
