Coronation Street Spoilers: Fiz And Phil Storyline Introduces New Character

Coronation Street Spoilers hint that there may be another character that will be introduced in the Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Phil Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) storyline. Fiz and Phil’s relationship started after Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) split up. Tyrone had developed feelings for Alaina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) who had been staying with the family. This had left Fiz heartbroken to see her husband fall for a younger woman and decide to build a family with her as well.

On top of that, her daughter struggled with the recent separation between Fiz and Tyrone leading to the daughter, Hope, starting a fire at the flat. Tyrone realized his feeling for Fiz but kept going back and forth between the two of them which resulted in him losing both of his potential love interests. While Fiz moved on with Phil who she had been seeing since the break up with Tyrone.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Fiz Stape Meets The Mother

Jennie McAlpine recently teased that the relationship between Fiz and Phil will be interrupted by the reveal of his mother. Jennie lets it be known that meeting the mother will not be an easy thing for Fiz. Might there be some conflict between Fiz and the mother? During an interview with Inside Soap, Jennie stated, “Phil seems like a great character, but we are going to meet his mother – and her dog! She offers Fiz lunch but says, ‘You can’t have a slice of chicken because that’s for the dog’. This is the kind of thing Fiz is up against!”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Tyrone Dobbs Wants Fiz Stape Back

The relationship between Fiz and Phil has been a source of tension for Tyrone ever since he ended things with Alina Pop which ended last month. With Alina gone, Tyrone wanted to reconnect with Fiz but Fiz was not interested since she moved on with Phil. Tyrone even accused him of cheating on Fiz but it would turn out to be a misunderstanding. In the interview with Jennie, she reflected on the Fiz and Tyrone breakup. “The thing that upset me the most in the beginning was the thought that I wasn’t going to work with Alan anymore. It’s like putting on your cosy slippers, and when you think of the history… Fiz and Tyrone have known each other for 20 years – which is ridiculous! [laughs]. There were moments where Alan would nod to Jack [Duckworth]’s picture on the mantelpiece, knowing how much he would disapprove!”
