Coronation Street Spoilers: Nina Freaks Asha Leaving, Locks Her Up and Takes Her Phone

Coronation Street spoilers have hinted that Nina Lucas will have another anxiety attack when she discovers Asha Alahan’s plans to leave Weatherfield to study.

Asha (Tanisha Gorey) tells Aadi (Adam Hussain) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) about the plan to enroll in Glasgow University but she worries about being far away from her family. She also puts her mind to her girlfriend, Nina (Mollie Gallagher), who will surely feel bad if she leaves her side.

Anxiety started to attack Nina after her tragic experience during the murder of her late boyfriend, Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni). She also suffered a horrible panic attack when she rescued Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) from being bullied by the gang in the street.

Since then, Nina feels anxious in every difficult situation. She also worries that something bad will happen to her loved ones, especially Asha if she doesn’t see her near. Nina can’t cope with more loss, feeling like it’s always her fault if the most important people in her life get hurt.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Crippling Anxiety

In upcoming episodes, the ITV soap will tackle Nina’s struggle with anxiety as Asha pursues her studies in a different city.

It starts with Asha’s dad Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) seeing her daughter having second thoughts about applying to the university. He gives her a guidebook to help Asha decide whether to proceed or not.

Asha tells Nina about her plan to spend time in the city, but the latter discovers the guidebook. At first, Nina supports Asha and wishes her well in the city but when she discovers about the upcoming floods in Glasgow, she feels anxious. She’s worried sick that danger may await Asha in her journey while riding on a train.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Staying In The Cobbles

Before Asha leaves Weatherfield, she drops by the café but Nina locks her in, takes her phone, and convinces her girlfriend to cancel her trip to the city.

Will this convince Asha to stay in the cobbles? Can Asha calm Nina down and seek help for the latter’s anxiety? This will be Asha’s first time to experience Nina’s unlikely behavior, will this scare her?

Previously, Carla Connor (Alison King) offered help when she clocked Nina’s suffering mental health after Asha chased the thieves who took the Christmas market stall’s tip jar. Will she be able to help Nina seriously this time?
