Coronation Street Spoilers: Paul Foreman Receives Devastating News Amid Health Struggle

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) receives another heartbreaking news after learning that he has motor neuron disease. Will he get the treatment he needs for his condition?

Paul turned to his loved ones as he struggled to cope with his MND diagnosis, a condition that’s incurable. Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Bernie tried to lift up his spirit and encouraged him to keep on fighting. Paul explained that an experimental treatment called Tofersen could help extend his life.

Paul went to the hospital, along with Billy, Bernie, and Gemma, for a consultation about the potential treatment. Unfortunately, he was informed that he wouldn’t be considered because he has no family history of MND.

The doctor told him that he had “practically zero chance” of benefiting from the treatment, which infuriated Bernie. She insisted that Paul would still do it because there was still a chance that the treatment would have a positive effect on his health.

Bernie demanded Paul be included in the list of patients for Tofersenf, leaving Paul embarrassed with her reaction. Paul talked to Bernie and explained that he needed their support, but they couldn’t rely on an unlikely option.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Is Paul Preparing To Leave Coronation Street?

Paul’s current storyline has left many fans wondering if he’s preparing to leave the show. ITV has not released any statement to confirm or deny the speculation.

Peter Ash, the actor behind the character, has worked in TV and theater for the last 20 years. He first appeared in Blue Murder back in 2003. His other acting credits include Casualty and Footballers Wives.

The actor revealed that they sought out the help of the MND Association for his ongoing storyline in Coronation Street.

“Yes, we’re in constant contact with the MND Association. They’ve been great – since the first symptom, they’ve told me exactly how it works and the things you would and wouldn’t be able to do,” he said.

“With the foot drop, it’s not a limp – the muscle has gone, so you can’t flex it. You have to over lift your leg to get your foot placement properly. They’ve sent me videos of people at that stage so I can see how they walk,” he added.
