Coronation Street Spoilers: Rebecca Ryan Talks New Corrie Romance

“Coronation Street” star Rebecca Ryan has hinted at her character’s upcoming storyline in the soap as Lydia sets an eye on Daniel Osbourne.

In the previous Coronation Street episodes, it has been revealed that Lydia (Rebecca Ryan) was someone from Adam’s (Sam Robertson) past, which led Sarah (Tina O’Brien) to doubt their relationship and question her husband regarding the list of women he had slept with.

Now that the newcomer is getting linked to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), Rebecca shared her thoughts regarding their pairing, “I think it’s a genuine and instant attraction. They read a lot of books and poetry, they’re like-minded, they have a lot in common.”

“It’s unfortunate he is related to Adam as that doesn’t help. If anything happens, she blames Adam for ruining things. There’s a genuine attraction though,” Ryan continued as documented by Metro.

There might be a good partnership between Lydia and Daniel but things get intense knowing that Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) is also in the picture, which is a great recipe for trouble. While Daisy is known for being feisty, Rebecca revealed her love for her character as she isn’t afraid to do things to get what she wants. Will Lydia and Daisy start a feud over Daniel?

Despite possible conflict with the soap’s villainous Daisy, Rebecca explained that her character is not a bad person but will just return the favor to everything that will happen to her and she wants to show the reason she will do such things. “I’m looking forward to her causing trouble, there’s always going to be a bit of drama,” she teased.

Jack James Ryan, who plays Jacob Hay on Coronation Street, was involved in drug activity in the previous episodes and recently stepped back into the cobbles and became part of Kelly Neelan’s homeless scenes. Just last year, he posted on his social media account as he welcomed his sister, Rebecca Ryan in Weatherfield.

When asked how it was like to work with his brother in the soap, Rebecca revealed: “It’s so amazing to be working with Jack, that’s another dream come true to be able to get to work with Jack at the same time and the same thing.”

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Family Of Actors

Being a family of actors, Rebecca mentioned she has worked with her brother, Charlie before on a couple of projects. Now that she and Jack are together in a soap, it seems like that it’s a big deal for her.

About the possibility of their characters crossing paths on the cobbles, Rebecca mentioned that there will be huge respect between them, for Lydia has nothing to do with Jacob and “wouldn’t take any crap from him.”
