Coronation Street Spoilers: Shona Platt Acts As Heroin In The Sinkhole Tragedy

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveals with all the upcoming disasters in the cobbles, the sinkhole found in the Platts’ backyard will cause Shona Platt to take a deadly decision that could lead to her death as “Coronation Street” spoilers revealed.

When the heavy rain pours, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) is in search of her love interest, Leo (Joe Frost) until she steps her foot on the Platts’ sinkhole.

Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) notices Jenny and tells her to stay away from the sinkhole. Before Jenny avoids the danger, the ground finally gives in due to the heavy rainfall, which leads Jenny to fall into the sewers below.

Johnny Connor immediately comes to the rescue, but ends up joining Jenny underneath. The former couple is trapped in the sewers as the water continues to rise. The two shout for help, for they are already running out of time.

Seeing the two being swallowed by the ground, Shona courageously helps them even in grave danger. She hurriedly heads down to the other sewer hole and wishes to save Jenny and Johnny. Will Shona rescue the former couple?

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers  Johnny Connor Decides To Start Fresh at Bali

Before the tragedy, Johnny Connor spends time alone to refresh his mind after knowing that his ex-wife Jenny Connor is finally moving on from their relationship and starts dating the newcomer, Leo.

Johnny approaches his daughter, Carla Barlow (Alison King), and suggests moving their lives to Bali to reunite with his other daughter, Kate Connor (Faye Alicia Brookes). When Carla shares Johnny’s plans with Jenny, the former lover is surprised by the news.

Later that day, Jenny spots Johnny in the beer tent at Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) House of Horrors Halloween event and has a sincere conversation with him. She hopes Johnny won’t be leaving Weatherfield because of her.

After those scenes, the sinkhole tragedy begins that leads to the former couple being trapped in the sewers. They are both clinging to the ladder while shouting for help.

As documented by Digital Spy, in his previous interview, Corrie’s producer, Iain MacLeod, teased that the terrifying circumstances will bring Jenny and Johnny closer together. “It’s incredibly dramatic, but equally, it’s very funny. It’s very heartfelt, it’s incredibly moving and emotional,” he said.
