Coronation Street spoilers for the week of January 20 tease we’ll learn Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) fate, and Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) will get her comeuppance.
Also, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) makes a DNA decision, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) spirals, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) makes a vow, and the Platts live in fear!
Coronation Street Spoilers – Lauren’s Fate Revealed
Lauren has a terrible day in court as her murder trial goes on; Roy Cropper (David Neilson) speaks up, saying Lauren is kind and caring.
Suddenly, Brie Benson (former Hollyoaks actress Jessica Ellis) stands up in the gallery, wearing a sling, and accuses Lauren of attacking her in prison!
Shocked, Lauren tells her lawyer that she didn’t do anything like that-meanwhile, her lawyer informs her that her baby son, Frankie Bolton (Roman Thresh), is sick and in the hospital.
Lauren feels sad to be in court instead of with her son. As tensions rise during Max Turner’s (Paddy Bever) questioning, she tells the prosecuting lawyer that she is glad Joel Deering (Callum Lill) is dead!
Corrie Spoilers – Will Lauren Be Found Guilty?
Will the jury recognize that Lauren was a victim of Joel all along, or will she be found guilty? Later, at the hospital, Lauren tells Max that Frankie has an infection; she fears she will go to prison and regrets losing her cool in court.
She insists that the trial doesn’t matter; her only concern is Frankie’s recovery, and while she stays by Frankie’s hospital bed, the jury hears the closing statements.
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) tells Lauren that the jury is deadlocked, making Lauren anxious about the outcome. However, there’s nothing more she can do, so she heads back to court for the verdict.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Daisy’s DNA Decision
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) tells Daisy that he wants her to take a DNA test because he needs to find out if she is pregnant with his child.
At the same time, Daniel’s fiancée Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) contacts a magazine in London to check if the job is still open. Daisy arranges the test and insists that Daniel accompany her.
Later, at the Rovers, Daisy is shocked, seeing Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) has packed her belongings to sell in order to repay Carla Connor (Alison King).
Back at the flat, Daniel stays silent about his whereabouts but is caught off guard when Bethany announces she accepted the job offer and wants him to think about a trial move.
Corrie Spoilers – Daisy’s Horror
Daniel and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) are at the pub celebrating Bethany’s new job; Daisy is shocked when Bethany shows her a positive pregnancy test she found in her bag.
Bethany thinks Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is the father and wishes him well-at the Rovers quiz, Daisy feels anxious with both potential fathers present. Bethany then announces that she and Daniel have chosen a wedding date, which makes Daisy very upset.
Later, Jenny discovers Daisy in distress and takes her to the hospital-Kit arrives, and Daisy asks him to stay for the scan.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Sarah Confronts Daisy
Bethany informs Sarah that she is moving to London. While Daniel, Sarah, and Bethany are taking Bethany’s belongings out of the flat, Sarah sees Daisy and confronts her about ruining Bethany’s relationship. At the same time, Daisy receives the DNA results.
After looking at them, she deletes the message and tells Jenny that the identity of the baby’s father doesn’t matter, and she will keep the results a secret. Jenny is shocked, but why is Daisy staying silent; who is the father, and does this mean her affair with Daniel is now revealed?
Corrie Spoilers – Cassie’s Comeuppance
Ken Barlow (William Roache) wants to know why Cassie is at his house after Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) find her there alone.
Cassie says she was cleaning Ken’s bedroom. However, after Adam and Alya leave, she secretly pulls out Ken’s credit card from her pocket and later puts it back.
Daniel, feeling worried, advises Ken to be cautious with Cassie because Bertie Osbourne (Rufus Morgan-Smith) saw her put something in his drink and promised to keep it a secret. When Ken questions Cassie about this, how will she respond?
Coronation Street Spoilers – Abi’s Fury
Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) vents her fury over Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) and her interference. Toyah feels a wave of concern as she overhears Roy confiding his fears to Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) about Abi’s hallucinations.
Abi, however, is adamant that Roy is misunderstanding the situation and becomes enraged when Toyah proposes that she seek help from a grief counselor.
In a heated moment, Abi lashes out at Toyah, accusing her of attempting to take her young son, Alfie Franklin (Carter and Oakley Razak Townsend).
Yet, deep down, will Abi come to terms with the fact that she might actually need support to cope with the trauma of witnessing Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) murder?
Corrie Spoilers – Leanne Spirals
Leanne hands Amy McDonald (Elle Mullvaney) a cheque for £12,000, explaining it’s from her father Les Battersby’s (Bruce Jones) compensation. She wants Amy to use it as partial payment for the money the Institute took from her.
Tracy Barlow (Kate Barlow) reminds Leanne that they don’t have any friends, suggesting they go out and have some fun; at the Bistro, they enjoy watching Toyah deal with Abi’s complaints. The next day, Leanne pours herself a bottle of wine at the Bistro.
When she sees Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) leaving angrily after a fight with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Leanne decides to join Ronnie and asks Toyah for another bottle, despite her disapproval.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Leanne Is Humiliated
Leanne, inebriated, leans flirtatiously against Ronnie, playfully hinting at a night of excitement; however, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) catches sight of her antics, leaving her feeling embarrassed.
The next day, as Leanne hurries to court for her sentencing, Debbie intentionally splashes her with water by driving through a puddle. Toyah and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) come across the drenched Leanne, and Toyah insists on giving her a ride.
After receiving a community order, Leanne exits the courthouse, declaring to Toyah that she wants nothing to do with her anymore.
Tracy reminds her that Toyah not only took her partner but also her flat, filled with all her belongings-could this push Leanne towards seeking revenge?
Corrie Spoilers – The Platts Live In Fear
At the police station, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is taken aback when he runs into Andy (uncredited actor), a former inmate who insists they exchange contact information.
Back at home, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) is unsettled when Lily Platt (Brooke Malonie) hands her a note from a man at the precinct, instructing her to deliver it to David.
Shona passes the note to David, revealing a message from Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) demanding an additional £10,000 in interest.
David is alarmed to discover that Harvey’s associates are familiar with Lily, prompting him and Shona to agree to keep a close watch on the children at all times.
Coronation Street Spoilers – David The Dog Is Attacked
Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) shows up with David the dog wrapped in a blanket, revealing to the Platts that he discovered the injured pet by the roadside after it was struck by a car. This unsettling news leads David and Shona to privately speculate whether Harvey might be involved.
Later, David comes back home armed with a hammer and a baseball bat, informing Shona that they must defend themselves until they can settle their debts with Harvey.
Shona is filled with anxiety, but just how perilous is their situation? Was their pet dog David’s attack a mobster type message?
Corrie Spoilers – Lisa Makes A Vow
Carla comes home from the hospital feeling unwell, and Lisa vows to take care of her during this tough time. As Carla awaits a much-needed second kidney transplant, her treacherous brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) steps in with an offer to donate one of his own kidneys.
Will this gesture truly save Carla’s life, or does Rob have a hidden agenda behind his seemingly generous act? Lisa, of course would be doubly suspicious as a detective, and would want to investigate further!
