Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that an iconic drug dealer, Dean Turnball, will soon step back into the cobbles.
Dean Turnball was once Abi Webster’s ally when her marriage with Kevin Webster was put into jeopardy. It all started when she shared an intimate night with Imran Habeeb, which resulted in her being pregnant. As her great relationship with Kevin was slowly moving downward, Abi turned to addictive substances and got Dean as her provider.
In the past episodes of the longest-running soap, Dean and Abi were involved in a road accident when the latter turned her friend to the authorities. It all began when the villain stole Kevin’s car, leading Abi to worry about her husband losing his business. Determined to get the vehicle back, the woman met Dean at his lock-up and made him believe that he can have the car if it was still in good condition.
Little did he know, Abi was planning a trap and called the police to report the man who stole her husband’s car. However, Dean heard the woman’s call and angrily took her with him to escape the situation. On the other hand, Toyah called Abi and a paramedic answered the call informing her about Abi’s involvement in a car accident.

In Dean’s comeback, a source told The Sun that the issue will not focus on Abi anymore. “Dean’s back for a limited time but he’s just as dangerous as before. He’s got a history with Abi but she’s not the only addict on the street that Dean knows – Cassie Plummer could be in his orbit too. It’s definitely one to watch,” they uttered.
The avid viewers knew that Evelyn Plummer’s daughter, Cassie, stepped foot in the cobbles and got confined in a hospital. When the matriarch visited her, she admitted that she is involved in drugs amidst her life struggles.
After knowing her daughter’s story, Evelyn asked Abi how she overcome her addiction to illegal substances. Abi then shared that she only decided to get sober when she felt the support of her loved ones, especially her husband, Kevin.
Abi’s statements made Evelyn realize that she should be with her daughter every step of the way as she takes the road to recovery. The woman then talked to Tyrone and announced that she will be gone for a while to help her neighbor, James. As Evelyn and Cassie have gone their way, the latter promised her mom to be serious with her recovery.
