In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Stephen found himself in a hospital bed after his altercation with Tim Metcalfe. It all started when Tim found a joint life insurance document in one of Stephen’s belongings. The moment turned alarming when his mother, Elaine, noticed the forged signature under her name. As a result, Tim confronted the villain the moment he stepped foot into his apartment.

Things got worse when Stephen fell to the ground after he was pushed and hit his head. The villain then had to undergo emergency surgery after acquiring a serious injury. On the other hand, Tim got arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). Meanwhile, the authorities visited Stephen when he finally gained his consciousness back. After their meeting, Craig informed Tim that his case was dropped after Stephen stated that he simply fell and hit his head.

The news made Elaine perplexed as she didn’t expect the villain to do such a thing after everything he did against her. As a result, she rushed to the hospital and asked the man about the matter. Stephen then explained that he did everything as he truly loved Elaine. However, despite the man’s statement, Elaine stuck to her decision to end their relationship.

In the upcoming scenes of “Coronation Street,” Stephen steps up when Jenny is filled with worries over the financial status of Rovers Return. At first, the woman asks for advice from his boyfriend, Owen, and the latter suggests cutting her losses and selling up. It might be a good action, but Jenny rejects the idea.

On the other hand, Stephen speaks up his mind and states that Jenny should increase the price and reduce the portion sizes. When the woman considers the idea, she receives backlash from Ed Bailey and Gary Windass when they both get smaller hot pots. Later in the week, Stephen says that increasing the prices would be the best solution to her problem.

Jenny then proceeds with the suggestion and even increases her charges for room rental. Moreover, she leaves her staff horrified when she announces her plans to cut their shifts. Aside from price hikes, the woman also hands out flyers to promote a dart night. However, the plan might not work as she finds the men drinking beer and enjoying darts in Ed’s backyard.
