Coronation Street’s Stephen Reid Leaves Elaine Perplexed With His Decision

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Stephen Reid made a huge decision following his surgery.

In the previous episodes of the longest-running soap, Stephen left his fiancée in shock when he made a rude face as Elaine talked about his Tai Chi coach, Gerry. Since then, the woman started to get rid of Stephen as she constantly remembered his abusive ex-husband, Geoff. Moreover, she went through the man’s belongings to investigate his shenanigans. Elaine then saw a photo of Stephen’s ex-wife, Gabrielle, alongside the Platt family.

She believed that something was wrong as she once caught her fiancé having a Zoom call with Gabrielle whom he claimed to be someone else. As she started panicking, Elaine expressed her worries to Tim and told him about the red box which contained the villain’s important files. Determined to protect his mom, Tim immediately responded to Elaine’s concern and cracked the box open. The two then found a joint life insurance paper which left Elaine horrified as she noticed the forged signature under her name.

Following their horrible discovery, Tim advised his mom to vacate the place as he waited for the villain to arrive. The moment Stephen stepped into the apartment, Tim immediately confronted the man and warned him to bring the matter to the authorities. During the commotion, Stephen was pushed and fell to the ground after he hit his head.

Tim then escaped the place and went to his mom – telling her that the villain cannot bother them anymore. On the other hand, Gail approached Elaine and told her about Stephen’s emergency surgery due to a serious injury. Meanwhile, Tim defended himself as the authorities came to arrest him on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). “It was an accident,” he uttered.

Before long, the iconic villain gained his consciousness and he was able to give his statement to the police. After the meeting, Craig informed Tim that his case was dropped as Stephen stated that he simply fell and hit his head. The information left Elaine and Tim confuse, so the matriarch confronted the man and asked him about the matter.

Stephen then explained that he did everything as he truly loved Elaine. However, despite the man’s statement, Elaine stuck to her decision to end their relationship. Though it didn’t work out with Elaine, the popular villain won’t be single for so long as he will try to win Jenny Connor’s heart once again.
