Amber Heard Finally Pays Her Debt To Johnny Depp

It looks like Amber Heard has finally settled her debt with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. There’s a new report that says the Hollywood actress has paid Johnny the $1 million settlement that she owed him after their televised trial last year. Johnny sued Amber for defamation after she suggested that she was a victim of abuse in their relationship. Here’s what you need to know.

As many fans know by now, the case ended in Johnny’s favor. Amber was instructed to pay $10 million in damages along with $5 million in punitive damages which was later reduced to $365,000.

Johnny Depp has said that he will split the money five ways among his favorite charities. Johnny sued Amber for a 2018 Washington Post article that she wrote in which she insinuated that she was a survivor of domestic abuse, even though she never named her ex-husband in her piece.

At the time, Amber said the verdict was “a setback” for women who speak up with allegations of abuse. Johnny Depp celebrated his win by rocking out with his friend Jeff Beck at sold-out concerts all across the UK.

Is Amber Heard Going Back To Hollywood?

The payment probably feels like a huge relief for Amber, as she’s been wanting to close that chapter in her life already. She was mercilessly bullied online after their court case so much so that Amber decided to pack her bags and start a new life for herself in Madrid, Spain.

Apparently, it’s a decision that Amber is very happy with. One source close to the situation even told the Daily Mail, “I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh. She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.”

The tipster added, “I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project.”

So far Amber Heard herself has not made any comments about the matter. Watch this space.
