Saddle up because the ride is not yet over. Johnny Depp might have won his defamation case, but we’re not yet sure whether the win will be permanent or not. Amber Heard and her lawyers have vowed to appeal the case. Why? One, Heard reportedly cannot pay Depp the money she owes him, according to a source. Two, Amber Heard wants to fight for the truth and for domestic violence survivors everywhere.
Guess “moving forward” will have to wait a while longer, now, wouldn’t it?
Young Juror Shouldn’t Be On the Panel, Amber Heard’s Team Argues
Amber Heard is not taking her loss against Depp in their highly publicized court case lying down. Her legal team is seeking to appeal or throw out last month’s verdict in the defamation case between the actress and her ex-husband.
In a 43-page filing sent to a Virginia court on Friday, the 36-year-old argued that the verdict was not supported by proper evidence and that the jurors were affected by public opinion – which was mostly against her.
In one claim, Heard’s team said that it was wrong for Depp, 59, to allege that he lost his role in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise and “Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore” because of Heard’s 2018 op-ed. They backed up the claim by saying that Heard didn’t mention him by name in the article.
Heard’s team argued that Depp “proceeded solely on a defamation by implication theory, abandoning any claims that Ms. Heard’s statements were actually false.”

Furthermore, Heard’s team claimed that one of the jurors who served during the trial was not properly vetted. The person summoned to court had a birth date of 1945 but Heard’s team insisted that the person who served was much younger.
The juror, identified in the filing as Juror 15, “was clearly born later than 1945. Publicly available information demonstrates that he appears to have been born in 1970,” the motion states.
In June, Depp made waves when he emerged victorious in all three counts of his defamation case, which he brought against his ex-wife Amber Heard. In 2018, Heard wrote a “defamatory” opinion piece for Washington Post claiming that she’s a survivor of sexual and domestic abuse.
Following the jury’s verdict, Elaine Bredehoft said that the “Aquaman” actress will absolutely “appeal” the verdict against her.

She needs a psychiatrist. No one believes her! She was proven to be a liar and an abuser…. Oh and a gold digger… she should stop before JD sued her again!
She won't accept defeat until she's dead & buried and even then, I'd be worried. She's a toxic, venomous, psychopath. Dealing with someone like her is the worse thing that can happen to someone.
The court may be the only place the public will see her. I don't know a single, solitary soul who ever uttered the words, "Hey,let's go check out the new Amber Heard movie". No one is going to waste good coin to see her in anything. She's a dime a dozen, untalented, bland Z list tart.
I mean, she made like 5 attempts to get the case thrown out BEFORE the trial began so this shouldn't be surprising. She thought everyone would believe her lies and has no concept of being wrong so she'll drag this out as long as she can
I agree she is Dangerous & Violent, I worry she will bring harm to the child in her life. She should be watched as she could become the next Shooter of innocent people. I hope JD is so far away from her for his safety and the safety of his family.
Amber is mentally ill. I don’t know what will happen w/her appeal but I can’t believe her insurance will keep paying her lawyers. The Judge did a great job so I hope that who ever was juror 15 I hope they get fixed. If they have to redo the trial it’s going to be crazy. The rest of her life Amber will not move on. There is something inside her mind that will not let her. She couldn’t stand the fact Johnny wouldn’t look at her. Don’t get me started on her lawyer. Elaine was so unprofessional on the morning news shows.
She's lost the case already. She needs to just drop it and move on with her life. All she is doing is causing more trouble for everyone.

It funny because in court she said she wish Johnny would leave her alone and stop suing her yet here she is, still tormenting Johnny.
I speaking as a survivor of domestic abuse and a true survivor would not be doing what she is doing. If he is truly an abuser to be so open and detailed about supposed abuse publicly would heighten the anger of the person and cause more issues. Also I learned that my ex boyfriend abused every single woman he was in a relationship, it is rarely a one off thing. She is also just making it harder for those true women and that is a sad realization for those who suffer silently
She can go to trial 100x's and she is still not going to win. I don't know what she see's or hears when she looks at all the evidence but it is very clear to me and the rest of the world she is a liar. I mean there is a audio clip of her saying the reason why she filed the TRO was because she was told she would have to move out of his penthouse in 30 days, This is an admission, The end.
The fat lady has sung. The audience has left, and the janitor’s sweeping the floor. It’s over. Whoever her enablers are, they need to convince her that continuing on is going to do nothing but career suicide. That might get through to her. But ultimately she is mentally ill and needs help more than anything. And she certainly does not need a child right now.
She might need to save her $ that she does have and quit letting her lawyers convince her to keep going…which is making her poor while making them rich.
Definitely a “Fatal Attraction” case. Johnny needs to watch his back. She seems to be extremely violent and disturbed. I honestly don’t get the attraction to her after seeing how mean she is.
