Okay, little Miss Jolie-Pitt’s coming-of-age move is to become Miss Jolie. Shiloh reportedly filed to drop the Pitt in her last name in favor of Jolie. And guess what? The paperwork was filed on her 18th birthday. It was almost as if she couldn’t wait!

While the move to drop the Pitt from her last name may come as a shock to some fans, it certainly was not for those ones who knew about the “airplane incident.”

Angelina Jolie’s Daughter Shiloh Reportedly Paid For Her Own Lawyer To Make the Huge Transition Into Adult Life

Turning 18 means a lot of different things to different people. To some it’s like the opening of a new chapter. To others it marks a new era when they can have more control over their own lives.

Whichever way you choose to celebrate yours, Shiloh has chosen to celebrate hers by vying to officially become Shiloh Jolie.

She submitted the request on May 27, the exact day she turned 18 and became a legal adult, so not a moment to waste I guess. Reports say she personally found and paid for her own lawyer to make the change.

In addition to Shiloh, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt also co-parent kids Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19, as well as twins Vivienne and Knox, 15.

However, Shiloh is not the only one of the family to adopt this approach. According to multiple outlets, her younger sibling Vivienne used “Vivienne Jolie” for her work on the the new Broadway musical ‘The Outsiders,’ which the 15-year-old helped produce alongside Angelina.

Brad and Angelina’s eldest daughter Zahara, while she might not have gone the legal route, seems to have employed this approach as well.

When she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in November, the then-Freshman introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during her initiation ceremony. After Pitt missed her orientation ceremony at Uni, you can’t blame her.

However, this move from Shiloh has raised a few eyebrows, as, if you can recall, she’s the one that “sources” say still has a relationship with her father Brad Pitt.

“Shiloh’s desperate to see her father,” a source said in 2021, “but the circumstances make it impossible, other than a quick trip to his house here and there.”
