Angelina Jolie Shares Her ‘Weakness’ And Talks About Sleeping Badly

It’s now an established fact that the “Maleficent” actress Angelina Jolie is really not a sleeping beauty. In a May 26 interview published by “Vogue Japan” as part of her ongoing partnership with ”Guerlain’s Women for Bees” project, the actress shared some details about her personal life, her life in the spotlight, and her current struggles.

The “Those Who Wish Me Dead” actress shared what her strength and weaknesses are and that as an artist, she belittles herself way too and never gives herself enough credit that she deserves.

“It’s probably my weakness too, but my strength is that I’m emotional. I am deeply human, and flawed,” she says. “I feel that I want to connect to other people. And that can bring forward chaos, but it can also bring forward very authentic connections.”

She also revealed that due to her overflow of emotions, she is mostly restless and as a result, she barely gets her beauty sleep. “I don’t sleep well, I’m not one of those people.

I never settle. But, you know, I think some of us are kind of born that way. I’ve been trying to calm down since I was like five years old, and it’s just not happening,” Jolie went on to smile a little before adding, “Some people are just born a little bit on fire.”

Angelina Jolie — On Jolie’s Personal And Public Life

Aside from her messy divorce and ongoing battle with her ex-husband Brad Pitt over their winery Château Miraval, Jolie has pretty much tried to keep her personal life very private.

“I kind of keep it separate. And I haven’t really found a way to have a relationship with fame—other than when I direct. I think I’ve been avoiding it, because I’ve been avoiding Hollywood since I was young,” said Jolie to the outlet.

During an interview with “Wall Street Journal Magazine” last year December, the star of “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” shared that if she had to choose a career for herself in this recent era she wouldn’t choose acting. “I wouldn’t be an actress today,” said Jolie in the December 5 article before adding, “When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much.”

This confession stems from her experience with the public since her divorce from Pitt and their seven years-long legal battles. The pair share six kids: Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.
