Well, he does have a point here. Chris Evans recently admitted that when it comes to dating and all of the ups and downs that come with it, he would rather be ghosted than dumped by a potential partner. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

In an interview with People, Chris was asked about his dating life and whether or not he was ever dumped despite being the Sexiest Man in the World, according to the publication.

But when he was asked if he’s ever been ghosted, Chris said, “I feel I’ve experienced something much worse. I think I’d prefer being ghosted because you can make up any story you want. I’ve had the slow decline in text responses, and you just know the person is pushing you aside casually.”

But Chris has a way of dealing with it, too. He said that the best way to cope with ghosting is, “You tell yourself a story, whatever you have to do to get by.”

Interestingly enough, his fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Many of them have taken to social media to comment on the matter with, “I’m with Chris…I prefer to be ghosted than dumped–though, I’ve never ghosted anyone. At my age, I realized a long time ago that I won’t stress myself over why someone who isn’t mature enough to have a conversation with me about why they don’t want to be my friend/lover/whatever,” along with, “I can see why someone prefers to be ghosted. When that happens you don’t get confronted with the crap that you did.

Then you get to pretend that it wasn’t you it was them. I wouldn’t prefer it but people who don’t like to get told about themselves would.”

Is Ghosting Someone Really Cruel?

Another fan put it like this: “I think ghosting is extremely cruel and immature. I was ghosted by a neighbor I had coffee with once and I have NO idea what I did to provoke that? I get not wanting to be friends for whatever reason, but not even a simple hello in passing? People are so weird.”
