Dolly Parton, 77, Scores Best Week Of Career, From Music To Model

Dolly Parton just experienced the best week in her career. First, the country music legend wowed in a half-time show, wearing a cheerleader outfit. And that earned her a chance to become a supermodel.

But second, Dolly’s new album became her biggest hit ever. Keep reading for all the details.

Dolly Parton – Becomes Supermodel

Supermodel Christie Brinkley knows what it takes to succeed as a model. And so when Christie viewed Dolly donning a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit for a halftime show, she nominated her as a supermodel via People.

Brinkley’s response came after the country music singer, 77, stunned on stage in her cheerleader uniform amid the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders. But some social media trolls slammed Parton for daring to wear a crop top and tiny shorts at her age.

However, Brinkley, 69, threw shade at those who “had the nerve to suggest that the one and only Dolly Parton should dress her age should sit down!

You should know you can’t define an icon like Dolly Parton by a number!” accused the supermodel. And she also suggested that Dolly star as a supermodel herself in Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

Dolly Parton – Scores Highest-Charting Album

However, the supermodel also made note of Dolly’s huge career accomplishment. And that consists of soaring up the Billboard rankings with her 49th solo album, Rockstar. Parton watched her new album open at the third spot. And now Dolly has become a true rock star, with her new album ranking as her highest-charting album ever on the Billboard 200 charts.

And Brinkley summed up how many feel about Dolly Parton, cheering, “Brava you go girl! I’ll cut this short like your killer outfit and just say, LOVE YOU DOLLY! Maybe @si_swimsuit is next?”

And even The View talk show tackled those who mocked Dolly’s decision to wear a bedazzled cheerleader outfit. The View host Whoopi Goldberg praised Parton.

And she shared her thoughts by declaring, “Seventy-seven-year-old superstar Dolly Parton stole the show on Thanksgiving at the Cowboys/Commanders game dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.”

Whoopi Goldberg – Defends Dolly Parton

But commenting on those who mocked Parton, Whoopi noted, “Some critics told her to act her age. Bite me.” And Dolly’s younger sister Stella Parton defended the country singer as well.

Stella, 74, shared on social media, “I personally thought my big sister Dolly was cute as hell in her Dallas Cowboys cheerleading costume at the Halftime show on Thanksgiving.” And she added, “To those of you being so critical of a 77 year old kicking up her heels, I say f— yourself. Shame on you not her,” noted Stella.

But beyond her music, Brinkley’s defense included what makes Dolly a model for other women. And the supermodel praised Parton’s “immeasurable” wonderful qualities.

Those include her “too numerous to count talents, her boundless good energy and effervescent humor, and her golden philanthropic heart full of love! And the fact that she can also rock a Dallas cheerleader outfit too is inspiring and fun!” pointed out the supermodel.
