Friends Star Jennifer Aniston Re-Creates Rachel Haircut At Golden Globes: How She Feels About Famous Style

Jennifer Aniston Returns The ‘Rachel’ Hairstyle To The World

The 2024 Golden Globe awards glittered with star power. For instance, Taylor Swift made headlines after an early exit amid losing to the Barbie movie. But for some loyal Friends fans, nothing could compare to seeing Jennifer Aniston, 54, re-create her hairstyle as Rachel.

And Jennifer stunned on the Golden Globes red carpet in her new custom black Dolce & Gabbana dress and familiar Rachel hairstyle, per MSN.

The slender actress chose a strapless frock for the occasion with a fitted bodice and skirt. And although a sparkly scalloped detail added dazzle, Aniston limited her accessories to a dangly pair of earrings and a ring.

But oh that haircut! Farewell to Jennifer’s long hair that she wore in 2023. And instead, Friends fans instantly recognized the hairdo known as “the Rachel.”  However, Aniston put a somewhat new twist on it by wearing it slightly shorter than on Friends.

Jennifer Aniston Will Always Be Remembered For Friends

After five career Golden Globe nominations and a win in 2003 for Friends, Jennifer will always be known as a Friends star. However, Aniston has become famous for other roles as well. For instance, at the 2020 Golden Globes, Jennifer and her co-star Reese Witherspoon received nominations for best actress in a television series drama for The Morning Show.

And the always stylish actress stunned at that awards show in a strapless black Dior Haute Couture ball gown. But Jennifer customized it with a 1950s Cartier necklace from Fred Leighton, as well as earrings and rings from the antique jeweler.

However, Jennifer recently revealed how she really feels about “the Rachel” haircut via People. And Aniston understands that the style became iconic, representing a pop culture phenomenon loved by both women and men.

But while the actress feels grateful for her Friends role as Rachel Green, she confessed that her hairstylist Chris McMillan became “the bane of my existence.” 

And although Jennifer and Chris have remained friends, she explained that she regretted his decision to create “that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen,” added Aniston.

And she also noted that it provided a challenge when it came to maintenance. However, it appears that this year, Jennifer decided to pay homage to that famous style. And fans definitely appreciate the reminder that Aniston provided of her beloved role on Friends.
