The parents of Gabby Petito want justice for their daughter who apparently died after her suspected killer, Brian Laundrie wrote a journal. In it, he said that he basically euthanized her. His version of the events claimed that she allegedly fell and injured herself in a remote area.
To this day, her parents believe that Brian’s mom, Roberta Laundrie knew what he’d done and tried to cover it up. Now, it’s alleged that a letter Roberta wrote to Brian offered to lend him a shovel.
Gabby Petito – Lawsuits & Filings
In September 2021, millions of horrified people across the world followed the story of the beautiful young woman who disappeared while on a trip with her fiance, Brian Laundrie. Her body was found, and Brian disappeared.
The only suspect in the death managed to evade capture and multiple search parties hunted for him. Next, suspicions started to turn to Roberta, Brian’s mom and people thought she knew her son had killed Gabby and that she helped him get away.
Gabby Petito has been laid to rest, and now, Brian is dead with just a few remains found after an apparent suicide. However, it isn’t the end of the story for her mom and dad, Joe and Nichole. There have been lawsuits announced. In May, a wrongful death lawsuit in Florida was filed against the estate of Brian. Meanwhile, other legal documents point to Joe and Nichole not accepting that Roberta didn’t know her son murdered their daughter.
Allegations – Roberta Offered A Shovel To Bury Gabby Petito?
This week, Fox News reported that “Pat Reilly, the Petito family attorney, wrote to Laundrie family attorney Matt Luka in a Dec. 5 letter regarding the scope of the documents that Brian’s parents should hand over in a civil lawsuit.” One of those documents included a letter allegedly written to Brian by his mom. However, Roberta’s legal team claims it was written before the trip.
In court documents filed on December 20, Pat Reilly claimed that Roberta “offered to bring a shovel to help bury the body [of Gabby Petito.]” The documents also claim that one note had “burn after reading,” written on it. In the timeline for the case, it seems that when the authorities recovered the journal, other papers were also found. \

Written After The Murder?
Reilly, who represents the family of Gabby Petito told Fox, “If my belief as to the time it was written is accurate, it shows that at least Roberta Laundrie knew of Gabby’s murder before Gabby’s body was located.”
In response, Roberta Laundrie’s legal rep, Steve Bertolino noted that when it comes to civil cases, folks can just about allege anything they feel like. In fact, he’s convinced the letter was written well before Gabby died.
