Gwen Stefani Reveals She Made Mistakes And Regrets Amid Marital Issues With Blake Shelton

Ahead of Gwen Stefani‘s reunion with her former bandmates at the upcoming Coachella, the “Luxurious” singer revealed in an interview with “Los Angeles radio station KROQ” during her drop-in for an “Audacity Check” to promote the new duet she did with her husband Blake Shelton that she finds it difficult to listen to some of her old songs because their lyrics always struck a nerve.

This revelation comes after months of speculations that her marriage with the “Nobody But You Singer” is on the verge of collapse.

The “Don’t Speak” singer said, “I can’t listen to a lot of the songs because they speak so clearly to me. And it’s like, you know, you have regrets, you have mistakes you’ve made. And most of the songs are about that.”

She continued, “If I do ‘Ex-Girlfriend,’ even when I say it, I almost throw up in my mouth. Just knowing exactly where I was in that moment to write that song and what I know now? It’s just like, ‘Oh, my God.’ It just brings you right back.”

The rumors that the “The Sweet Escape” singer and the “God Gave Me You” singer’s marriage might be on the rocks began circulating late last year December 2023 after their fans spotted several clues that seemingly prove that the couple are on a break or might have broken up already.

Although neither Gwen nor Blake have stepped up to confirm or deny the rumors, the couple’s online activities and the way the once inseparable couple have been spending time apart even on important days have been sparking concern that all might not be well with their marriage.

Gwen, 54, and Blake, 47, met at “The Voice” in 2014 where they were both coaches. Seven years down the road they said their ‘I Dos” in 2021 and have been together ever since.

However, the couple who are well known to do so many things together have recently sent signals that there might be trouble in Paradise.

The speculation began in late December when Gwen suddenly up and wiped every trace of Blake’s pictures and videos including the ones they took together from her Instagram. That move made her fans rush to question her motive.

One asked, “What happened to all the videos of you and Blake?” Another screamed, “I haven’t seen them either!” and a third said, “Need to see some stuff with you and Blake together.”

After the deleted photos, the next speculation came after it was reported that the couple spent New Year’s Eve apart. While Blake went to perform in Nashville, Tennessee, Gwen threw a party in Las Vegas. They also snubbed each other on Valentine’s Day. Despite the rumors, the two recently released a love song “Purple Irises.”
