Hailey Bieber has opened up about the cyberbullying she has faced since marrying Justin Bieber.
Hailey Delved Into The Impact Of Social Media On Mental Health In A Video On Her YouTube Channel
On March 31, the model posted a video to her new YouTube channel, where she speaks to respected psychiatrist Jessica Clemons about mental health and how it can be affected by social media.
Reflecting on her own experiences, 24-year-old spoke candidly about being the target of cyberbullying to such an extent that she deleted her Twitter account.
Speaking With Psychiatrist Jessica Clemons She Recalled Her Own Experiences With Cyberbullies Which Messed With Her Mind
In conversation with Clemons, the model said, “I think when you’re in a situation where you just have so many people hounding you with the same thing over and over and over again, it starts to mess with your mind. You start to question everything and you’re like, ‘Is there something that I’m not seeing that they see? Maybe they’re right.'”
She revealed marrying Bieber in 2018 opened her up to a “new level of attention,” that messed with her enough for her to question if she was “delusional” about certain aspects of her life based on the hateful comments.

Recalling her own experiences with being bullied online, Hailey also said she struggled with being compared to other women, “I think one of the biggest things I struggled with for sure was the comparison aspect of body comparison and looks comparison and behaviour comparison.”
She continued,“I think when you’re going through a situation where you just have so many people hounding you with the same thing over and over and over again, it starts to mess with your mind and then you start to question everything and you’re like: ‘Is there something that I’m not seeing that they see?’”
Hailey Has Quit Twitter And Is Taking Steps To Limit Her Social Media Use To Combat The Anxiety She Experienced Due To Online Hate
Her experiences with online hate Hailey admitted her given her “bad anxiety,” which she adds led to her quitting Twitter. She told Clemons,” “I don’t even have a Twitter anymore because there was never really a time where I would go on there and it didn’t feel like it was a very toxic environment. The thought of even opening the app gives me such bad anxiety that I feel like I’m gonna throw up.”
Hailey explains in the video that she has been combatting her cyberbullies by filtering out the negativity by turning off the comments for everyone except those she knows and taking steps to only look at social media like Instagram on weekends. She said,“Now when I put up a photo or a video or anything, I know it’s only going to be people that… are going to be positive, and only going to encouraging and uplifting.

She Shared Her Gratitude To husband Justin For Speaking Up For Her And Supporting Her
She also praised her husband for his support, explaining that the 27-year-old singer has “been doing this so much longer at this really massive level,” and that he’d been giving her the support and guidance she needs.
In December, Bieber even publicly addressed a fan who encouraged people to flood Baldwin’s Instagram Live with hate comments, writing “ “This sad excuse of a human just encouraged people on video to literally go after my wife telling people to say that my previous relationship was better so on and so forth. I just wanted to share this so people get an idea of what we face on a day-to-day.”

What is wrong with people? Do they want to make others feel terrible about themselves so they feel better somehow? So immature to do stuff like that. They all need to get a life instead of being nasty to someone else. I'm not a JB fan although I live not far from where he was living before he got famous but I would never pretend to have so much hate for him that I would say nasty things to him. This is such a horrid side effect of social media.
