Hailey Bieber has finally deemed it right to set the records straight, once and for all to those who care to know and to those that have been pushing the narrative that Hailey stole Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez. For the sake of clarity, let me brief you on what the whole thing is about.

Our dear Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dated for eight solid years. Of course, you should know that already because it was very public while they were at it. Although the relationship was an on/off one, their fans rooted for them and wished they would end up saying their “I do” to each other. Unfortunately, wishes don’t always come to pass as the two broke up in early 2018. Hailey Bieber — On If She Was “Romantically” Involved With Justin While He Dates Selena

On the Sept. 28 episode of Call Her Daddy, Hailey Bieber explained everything on how it went down, from being good friends with Justin Bieber to actually being his wife, Hailey made sure she addressed the issue of stealing Justin from Selena, host Alex Cooper asked Hailey “People were obsessed with [Justin and Selena] being together, were you ever with Justin romantically at the same time as her?” To which Hailey replied “This is so crazy I’ve literally never talked about this ever. A lot of the hate and perpetuation comes from like, ‘Oh you stole him.’ It’s about people knowing the truth, because there’s a truth.”

Hailey explained to Alex that she met Justin when she was 18 years old and all the time she has been with Justin he wasn’t in any relationship, Justin was as single as ever, and when she got engaged to Justin he was also very much single, whatever the reason why his relationship with Selena failed, she respects that but she has never ever been with Justin when he was dating. Hailey went on to say that she’s not the type that dives into someone’s relationship, she has never done that and would never do that not just because she was raised well but because it’s not in her character to do such.

To further buttress her point the supermodel went on to say, “I can say period point blank I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it. And I had been involved with him since I was 18. The timeline also that I think sometimes is in question of us getting together and getting engaged and him having been spending time with his ex before that…this is so crazy. I’ve literally never talked about this ever…I understand, again, how it looks from the outside and there’s a lot of perception there.

“But that was a situation where I know for a fact that it was the right thing for them to close that door, they were not in a relationship at that time. But of course there’s a very long history there and it’s not my relationship, it has nothing to do with me so I respect that a lot, but I know that it closed a chapter and I think it was the best thing that could’ve happened for him to move on and be engaged and get married and move on with his life in that way.”

Hailey Bieber — What Hailey Said To Selena’s Fans

When Hailey was asked what she has to say to Selena’s fans that always jump at every opportunity to criticize her, Hailey told Selena’s fans that when it comes to liking her they have no obligation whatsoever but she feels it has gotten to the stage where there should be mutual respect between them, they don’t have to like her to respect her, they don’t have to keep saying things to her “because behind this person that you’re looking at on a screen is a person with a brain and a heart and emotions and issues that I face and so do you and so does Alex, and so does every single person in this room. So you just yeah, I think just mutual like respect and decency and know that what you say can have impact and know that. Yeah, I guess that’s what I would say.”
