Harry Potter Star Rupert Grint Joins Netflix Cabinet Of Curiosities

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts spoilers and updates tease that Rupert Grint has joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming anthology series titled Cabinet Of Curiosities.

Grint is famous for his role in Harry Potter as Ron Weasley. The actor will be joined by other performers such as Essie Davis of The Babadook, Ben Barnes of Shadow and Bone, and Andrew Lincoln of The Walking Dead.

Other cast members include Luke Roberts, F. Murray Abraham, Glynn Turman, Elpidia Carrillo, Hannah Galway, Crispin Glover, Demetrius Grosse, David Hewlett, Tim Blake Nelson, Sebastian Roche, and Peter Weller.

Episodes of the series will be written by Panos Cosmatos, Jennifer Kent, and Vincenzo Natali. Aside from being the director, Guillermo Del Torro will also be the executive producer and showrunner. It will feature eight different tales, two of which are Del Torro’s original works.

Netflix describes the new series as a collection of live-action stories that “challenge our traditional notions of horror, from macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy.”

Grint appeared in M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant on Apple TV back in 2019. Del Toro enjoyed it and described the show as “beautifully crafted” and “elegant.”

He loved the work of Grint on the show as well as the surgical staging and the camera work.

“Very, very grounded performances crown top technical and narrative efforts. Perfect for a rainy afternoon if you are predisposed to ghost stories that deal with grief, guilt, melancholy and the unrewarding, remote nature of modern life,” Del Torro said.

Rupert Grint News – Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts

Grint is set to appear in the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, which is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2022, on HBO Max. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson will join him, too.

Other stars will join them too, including Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, and Robbie Coltrane. The anniversary special will be a walk down memory lane. The cast will return to where it all began.

Executive Producer Casey Paterson said that the cast will return home to the original sets of Hogwarts. They are very excited to take their fans on an exciting journey through the making of all the Harry Potter movies.
