A year ago, it was revealed that Candace Cameron Bure’s brother Kirk Cameron is friends with the Duggars. One fan took to the DuggarsSnark subreddit to recall the time when the former Growing Pains star attended Jessa Duggar’s wedding. Other fans took to the thread to react. They remember when her wedding was featured in People magazine.

Kirk wanted to bring his daughters to Jessa’s wedding. He told the outlet that he wanted them to see what it’s like to save your first kiss for your wedding day. They didn’t find out since Jessa didn’t kiss her husband in front of everyone.

Jessa wanted to keep some of her private moments to herself. Every bit of their lives was filmed without their consent. So, she wanted to keep that first moment to herself. Jessa met Kirk at one of his movie sets.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar raved about the former child star in their confessional. Michelle admitted that Kirk refuses to kiss anyone but his wife. Production would stop so they could swap out his co-star for his wife. Even if she doesn’t look like the character.

It’s no secret that Kirk is good friends with the Duggars. Candace Cameron Bure is his sister, so it’s not surprising that she was affiliated with the IBLP religious organization. She has talked about blanket training in the past, which is what they promote.

Candace Cameron Bure – Promotes Blanket Training

In light of the release of Shiny Happy People, fans have been wondering about who else is affiliated with IBLP. This is the same doctrine that Candace Cameron Bure has followed.

To this day, she still recommends blanket training and other abusive methods, which are detailed in the book, To Train Up a Child by Michael & Debi Pearl.

She encouraged it in her book and on her website until 2022. Candace argued that blanket training and other types of physical punishment are necessary. Candace Cameron Bure hasn’t spoken out about it since. She has separated herself from the Duggars. For instance, the Bures come off as a hip and cool family who love God. They allow their kids to do whatever they want, which is the opposite of what the Duggars do.
