Jennifer Aniston reportedly did NOT anticipate Brad Pitt selling his production company. Called Plan B, the company could turn into a huge pay day for Pitt. But Brad set up the company with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. As a result, she feels annoyed about his plans, an insider told Heat magazine.

And beyond feeling shocked, Jennifer wants some of the profits, shared the source. But the insider clarified that the situation means more than money to Aniston. And she feels that Pitt stole all the credit for the company that she helped to create.

“This is not just about money. As far as Jen’s concerned, what’s of equal importance is the principle,” explained the source. “The bottom line is that she was a co-creator and founder of Plan B.”

Because of the role Jennifer played in building up the company, the actress feels she never received credit for her work. And though “technically” Pitt took charge of the company, Aniston feels disappointed in her ex husband’s lack of acknowledgement. As a result, Jennifer feels “she hasn’t had anything like the credit she deserved for building it up at inception,” added the insider. 

But Aniston did more than help at the company’s start. And the source shared that she acted “as a de facto consultant for many years when Brad needed to bounce ideas for projects or make big investments or business decisions.” Pitt and Aniston co-founded the company in November 2001. And together with producer Brad Grey, the company won praise for movies such as Moonlight and 12 Years A Slave . However, in 2005, after Brad and Jen split, Pitt became the sole owner of Plan B.

And Aniston felt content with the decision at the time, shared the source. But as she watches Plan B rake in huge money offers, she feels she deserves compensation. And the insider revealed what Jennifer wants and why.

“Jen at least expects acknowledgment and involvement assuming Brad’s sale goes through,” said the source. And Aniston also wants “the option to work with whoever takes it on. Up until just a few years ago, Jennifer and Brad were brainstorming projects and scripts for the company.”

As a result of Brad not updating Jennifer, she feels hurt, according to the insider. “But it’s now emerged that Brad has had this sale in the works for quite some time,” pointed out the source. “And it stings for Jen that she’s been blindsided and left out of the loop.” Because Aniston and Pitt supposedly had become good friends, his lack of communication hurt her.

“She still cares about Brad and doesn’t trash-talk him or anything like that,” noted the source. “But at the end of the day, this type of incident serves as a brutal reminder that he’s still got those sensitivity issues she complained about all those years ago. If Brad wants to do right by Jen, he’ll dig into his pocket and cut her a check for $100m, which would be a drop in the ocean if this sale goes through.”
