Jennifer Aniston became a beloved actress on Friends. And now one of her co-stars, Matthew Perry, has revealed that in real life, Jennifer became more than a friend. Because as Perry battled addiction, Aniston helped to save his life.

Jennifer Aniston – Dared To Confront Matthew Perry Amid Addiction!
Matthew Perry recently wrote a memoir. And now the Friends alum has spilled some of the details from his tell-all. For instance, Perry credits his Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston with saving his life, reported NBC.
Matthew also reveals that he battled addiction for decades. But until Jennifer staged her own intervention for her friend, no one succeeded in halting Perry. And the actor praises the actress for caring enough to step up and speak out.
Titled “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” the memoir describes how the 53-year-old star of Friends couldn’t kick his substance abuse issues on his own. And Matthew also talked in a recent interview about how successfully he prevented the outside world from knowing. But he added, “Secrets kill you.”
Matthew Perry – Recalls ‘Meeting Nothing But Drug Dealers’
As Perry battled his addiction, he felt alone. And Matthew now points out, “Secrets kill people like me.” Because of his success on the sitcom, the actor should have enjoyed the spotlight. But that’s not what happened. “At the time I should have been the toast of the town,” reflected Perry. “I was in a dark room meeting nothing but drug dealers and completely alone.”
In one interview, Matthew also went into the list of his drugs. And the Friends star views alcohol as an addiction as well. As a result, the list of Perry’s addictions includes “methadone, Xanax, full quart of vodka” and, in Perry’s words, “55 Vicodin a day.”

But emerging from his dependence on all those drugs as well as alcohol proved more than Matthew could handle on his own. And Perry recalled how Jennifer confronted him. That confrontation occurred when Matthew had become increasingly dependent on substances. But Aniston called out her co-star, saying that she and others knew of his addiction.
“Imagine how scary a moment that was,” admitted Perry now. But he also feels intense gratitude for that confrontation. And Matthew shared that he needed Jennifer’s support throughout his recovery. While others helped, Perry credits Jennifer as “the one that reached out the most.” And he added, “I’m really grateful to her for that.”
