Even though Jennifer Garner has ruled out walking down the aisle and getting hitched again, she definitely didn’t rule out throwing a wedding celebration for herself. Guess what? A few months later, her ex, Ben Affleck, whom she shares three children with, tied the knot with Jennifer Lopez.

Jennifer Garner Says She’s A “Nice Person” Whenever She’s Not Being “Taciturn”

Jennifer Garner has lived her life thinking about how to improve the lives of others, especially since she hasn’t got anything to complain about her own, but on April 17, as the actress turned 50, she decided to marry herself off… to herself.”I basically had a wedding for myself,” the actress said in an interview with Town & Country. “I was so shocked that I was doing it.”

At the wedding-themed party, Garner, always thinking about others even during her fake wedding day, put her guests to work filling no less than 5,000 backpacks with food for a family of four, to be donated to Blessings in a Backpack.”I put everyone to work,” she recalled, adding that they also had a fun time dancing to the Osborne Brothers’ “Rocky Top.”

During the interview, Garner also touched on her “nice” person image, saying that it’s a large part of who she is as a person. “I have no reason not to be nice. My life is lovely,” she said.

“I’m not always just nice. I can also be salty, and I can be taciturn, or I can be really serious about what I want to get done. It’s not that I feel I’m underestimated in that way—I’m not afraid to stand up for myself and say, ‘Just so you know, this isn’t going to fly with me.’ When that happens, I don’t want you to be shocked that I’m a real person.”
