Jennifer Lopez Says She Wants Her Kids To Tour With Her

Jennifer Lopez is hoping to enter serious negotiations with her 16-year-old twins to get them to join her on tour for the month of July.

Yes, it’s a shorter tour than it was originally meant to be – 7 were cancelled due to “logistical” issues – but Lopez would love to combine touring with spending time with her kids during their school break.

Jennifer Lopez is everywhere these days; releasing an album, releasing a documentary exploring the experiences that inspired the album, shooting a sci-fi movie “Atlas” and now hopping back into the tour bus for her This Is Me… Now the Tour.

If you’re wondering whether she sleeps, Good Morning America co-host Lara Spencer is also wondering.

After commenting on all Lopez’s upcoming engagements, Spencer joked that the “Hynotico” singer “obviously [does] not need sleep.”

“I do. I do,” Lopez laughingly responded.

“I wish I could have had the summer off. But it’s a small tour. It’s like 28 shows, I’m excited about it,” she said of the tour, which will kick off this summer, lasting from June to August, and ending with a two-night stand in N.Y.C. at Madison Square Garden.

“I’m excited,” she said. “I haven’t been out for years, I think since 2019. Since before the pandemic. So I’m excited to see the fans and interact with the people again. It’s always a good time.”

Lopez also opened up about wanting her 16-year-old fraternal twins – Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz – to join her on tour for her birthday month.

‘I’m out for like two months from June to August, so I was like, “You have to come out for the whole month of July. You can, like, go to camp and do whatever you want with your friends in June, and then at the end of August before you start school you can go back and hang out with your friends again. But you have to come with Mommy for a little while!”‘ the popstar shared.

Lopez will also be celebrating her 55th birthday on the road.

“I feel like this is the last time that I’ll get to do something like this with them. They’re 16. And next time, they’re going to be like, “No, Mom.” I’m going to use the last little bit of force I have over them and control to be like, “You have to come at least for a little while, so hopefully they’ll acquiesce to that.”

As for the kids, they’re not unfamiliar with life on the road.
