Jessica Biel reacted to a comment that claimed that she can’t be “believably cast” in period pieces. In a light-hearted post, Biel shared her thoughts on a fan tweet about how she doesn’t fit period pieces
The actress took to Instagram to respond to Twitter user @BrandyLJensen comment which read, “Some people just can’t be believably cast in a period piece like sorry Jessica Biel you have a face that knows about text messaging.”
Biel who now works as a producer on shows like The Sinner and Cruel Summer, posted a screenshot of the tweet with stills from her 2006 period film The Illusionist and her 2004 movie Cellular, with the caption, “Born for wifi.”
Followers weighed in on the debate, some disagreeing with an original tweet and others admitting they felt the same about many actresses
Jessica Biel News – Thoughts And Comments
Many fans shared their thoughts in the comments section. One wrote, “Disagree! You are perfect for these period movies,” while a second commenter reminded everyone of Jessica’s 1998 holiday movie, writing, “Clearly they have never seen I’ll Be Home For Christmas because the entire plot is built around the limitations of ’90s communication devices.”
Another user wrote, “In all fairness, if it ain’t Kate Winslet or Kiera Knightley I’m not buying it. I remember thinking the same thing about many actresses.”
While historic roles may not be for her, shows such as Cruel Summer which she produces, set in the 90s definitely suit her

Not A Perfect Fit
The 7th Heaven alum may not be the perfect fit for movies of the historic time period, but the mom of two definitely brings the 90s back with teen drama series Cruel Summer, which is full flannel, butterfly clips other staples from the decade.
Biel who executive produces the show said, “This is a project that I would have wanted to do if I was their age. I would have loved to play one of these characters.”

Odd. The point of acting is to lose oneself in the role.
