Joe Jonas Admits To Being Jealous Of Brother Nick Jonas

Even the closest of brothers get jealous of one another at one point in their lives and just because the Jonas Brothers are super close doesn’t mean they’re different.

One of them, Joe Jonas has actually admitted to being jealous of his your brother’s success over him that he actually wept. In his words, “I cried my eyes out.”

In a recent appearance on “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard” podcast, the three brothers, Kevin, 35, Joe, 33, and Nick, 30, all shared how they’ve always been competitive but supportive of each other’s career success.

Joe revealed in the podcast that in 2019, when he first learned that Nick was picked to be a coach in “The Voice” season 18, even though he (Joe) has had his shot at the job as a coach in “The Voice Australia” in 2018, he was “so jealous I cried.”

According to Joe, “I remember, and I don’t even know if you know this, some more tea that hasn’t been spilled, it was at the most picturesque setting, it was at the Fleetwood Mac show at MSG [Madison Square Garden], and as they’re playing ‘Landslide,’ I found out that he was going to be a judge on ‘The Voice’,”__per PEOPLE.

Continuing, Joe said, “I was so jealous I cried my eyes out to ‘Landslide. It was bittersweet, of course, ’cause I’m super happy for him, but I’m also bummed ’cause I want that f—ing gig!”

Kevin who had no idea how Joe felt about Nick’s gig thought that since Joe has had an experience coaching on “The Voice Australia” in 2018, felt Joe’s thoughts were kind of, “I did my time there, I should do it here.”

Joe chimed in by saying, “I just enjoyed the job, so I was like, what the f**k? But [Nick] crushed it and, you know, it was great.” Despite the occasional jealousy, Nick revealed that they still root for one another, “We always say we want someone with the last name Jonas to win. That’s our goal.”

Nick also shared that he and Joe auditioned for the same role in the movie “Wicked.” “We both auditioned for the same role, Joe and I. It was for Wicked, actually.”

“And we were going into it… and naturally, we’re brothers, we’re competitive in sports and other things, but when it comes to our career, I think we genuinely both looked at each other like…”

Confirming Nick’s words, Joe said, “Yeah, we said, ‘Go in there and kill it ’cause it’s gotta be one of us. It has to be one of us.’ That being said, never got that call…”
