Johnny Depp To Try and Rebuild His Life Following Defamation LawsuitJohnny Depp is finally breathing the fresh air and is looking forward to getting his life back on track. The actor, 58, has already performed in front of a massive audience after winning his court case and is reportedly looking forward to releasing a full album.

But what does the future have in stock for Depp acting-wise?

Johnny Depp – Looks Forward To A Career Resurgence

Johnny Depp is grateful to have his life back and wants to jump back into doing what he does best. Singing! No, wait, did I say singing? I meant acting.

On Wednesday, Johnny Depp emerged victorious in his defamation case against Amber Heard, with the jury finding that she defamed him in her 2018 op-ed about surviving domestic abuse. He was awarded $10.35 million in damages.

The jurors also awarded Heard, 36, $2 million in damages in her countersuit finding that Depp defamed her in 2020 via his then-lawyer Adam Waldman in a statement. In light of the Jury’s verdict, Amber’s lawyer has disclosed that they will appeal the verdict.

Moving forward, Depp – who has been touring overseas with long-time friend Jeff Beck for over a week – will be trying to revive his acting career.

“His career has been his everything over the years. He loves music, but acting is his life,” a source told people. “He couldn’t sit around and do nothing about the fact that his career was being affected. He thinks the verdict was fair. It feels like a win to him.”

“He very much hopes that he can revive his career,” the source added. An additional insider said that Depp is focusing on regaining himself at the moment. “He is absolutely looking ahead and past this. He’s looking for positivity and to move away from negativity.” The source added that the actor is “happy” and “relieved” after the verdict.

“He’s figuring out what he does next. He feels like he’s been vindicated,” the source said. “He feels a significant weight off his shoulders. It’s been six years of this. It’s been so gratifying to hear from men and women — he’s heard a lot of positive support from both men and women.”

Johnny Depp – Shares Emotional Message After Winning Against Amber Heard

Depp was in the U.K. when the verdict was read in court, so he wasn’t present in the room during the ruling. In a statement released after he won the case, Depp said that “the best is yet to come”.

“Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed. All in the blink of an eye,” he said.

“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me.

“It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career. And six years later, the jury gave me my life back.”

He further shared that he’s truly humbled for the verdict and for the millions of fans who stood behind him as he journeyed through the grueling public lawsuit.
