JoJo Siwa’s Breakup With Avery Has Gotten Messy! “I Got Tricked”

Are we not allowed to mourn the loss of a beautiful 3-month relationship and the thought of what could have been? I guess not, as recent developments just told us to hold our horses for there’s more to this than what we think.

So, the world got to know that the Nickelodeon alum JoJo Siwa, and her TikTok content creator girlfriend Avery Cyrus had put a full stop to their relationship through the getaway video uploaded by Avery on her TikTok.

The clip shows JoJo, Avery, and some of their other friends having fun at “Royal Caribbean” and JoJo handing over a gift to Avery saying, “sorry for breaking up with you.”

When fans heard of the breakup, it broke their hearts. At the request of a fan that wrote, “Now I want to know why.” Avery simply replied, “We decided that we are better off as friends! We are both so young and still just trying to figure our stuff out.”

While Avery gave out the impression that the breakup happened in good faith and that she and JoJo are still good friends, a video clip released by JoJo’s mom says otherwise.

In a video uploaded by the singer’s mom Jessalyn Siwa through her Instagram account, Jessalyn questioned a fuming JoJo who was pacing up and down the room, why she was angry. JoJo answered, “Cause I got used…For views. And for clout. And I got tricked into being told that I was loved… I got f**king played.”

From JoJo’s response, fans could denote that she was speaking of her split with Avery. It appears Avery tricked her into believing she was loved, just to get famous.

In a statement to E! News, Avery said, “From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends. The relationship was very real and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family,”

In a different conversation with PEOPLE, Avery revealed, “I’m still very hurt that JoJo broke up with me and am saddened and confused by the situation.”

JoJo Siwa — How Messier Can This Be?

Yesterday, Dec. 20, JoJo released a new TikTok video that tends to explain her reason for breaking up with Avery.

In the clip, JoJo shared that she found out Avery chose to date her for the sole purpose of boosting her (Avery’s) career. “You told one of my best friends that you were excited to be dating me bc you’re growing your career and want to get to the top…”

JoJo also explained that when she broke up with Avery, Avery wanted nothing to do with her anymore because Avery has gotten the fame she wanted. “And when I said I just wanted to be friends so I didn’t lead you on after an unplanned hookup you wanted nothing to do with me because there was nothing to gain anymore.”

Just when we thought the situation couldn’t get messier, Avery posted a video of her hanging out with her ex-girlfriend— the one she dated before JoJo— explaining that they’re only together because they had both paid for the trip in the past.
