Kanye West Wants Social Media Outbursts Deemed Inadmissible In Court

Kanye West has filed to have his social media rants excluded from the hearing on whether ex-wife Kim Kardashian can be declared “legally single.”

In recent months Ye has garnered some mockery and disdain over a string of unstable posts leveled at Kardashian and her new boyfriend, SNL comedian Pete Davidson as well as others. Ye’s Attorney’s Clap Back

Ye’s lawyers have responded to the allegations Kardashian made by claiming that “[Kardashian]claims she read something online allegedly by Kanye and characterizes the posts in her declaration as misinformation,” adding that the socialite needed to “offer the social media posts into evidence and show that the posts were written by Kanye.”

Kardashian/West fans will recall that Kardashian petitioned the court two months ago to be declared legally single. The hearing set to decide that matter is scheduled for next week. Kanye listed several conditions earlier this month, that needed to be met by the socialite if she wanted to restore her single status.

Ye’s Lawyers Claim Prenup Not Valid in California

Two of Ye’s conditions were that the entrepreneur could not remove any money from trusts the two created together and that, should one of them die, the other gets the “right of reimbursement.’ As previously reported, Kardashian’s attorneys argued that the move would be “unnecessary” as the couple had a prenuptial agreement.

In Ye’s new legal filing this week, he claims that the prenup must not be regarded as valid, yet. West’s attorneys argued that, in the state of California, the view is that prenups signed after 2001 can only be validated if both parties agreed or the matter went to trial.

The Rapper’s Rants

Kardashian filed for divorce last February while rumors were swirling that her marriage to the billionaire rapper was on the rocks. Over the last several months the music producer has made numerous rants online including sharing a diss track aimed at insulting Kim’s motherhood called Eazy.

Ye claimed that Kardashian refused to tell him the location of his daughter Chicago’s fourth birthday party, but that, with the help of others in the Kardashian family, he showed up anyway.
