Most fans think that Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian first met when the KUWTK star hosted SNL in October 2021. And that assumption makes sense, leading to showmance claims. But though Pete and Kim did appear in several skits together on the show, the two actually met previously!

In January 2019, Kardashian and Davidson headed separately to Kid Cudi’s birthday dinner at celebrity hotspot Nobu Malibu. And that’s where the initial meeting took place. But ironically, Kim’s currently estranged husband Kanye West also attended the party. And his presence probably blocked Kardashian and Davidson from becoming close.  

But then came that opportunity for Kim to host “Saturday Night Live” and become truly acquainted with Pete. And that rehearsal resulted in instant chemistry, shared a KUWTK insider. For instance, “sparks flew” as the two laughed together. And, added the source, “Kim never expected this. Pete makes her laugh.” But could the “sparks” last for a permanent romance?

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson continue to strengthen their relationship, shared another insider. And the entire Kardashian family approves. For instance, late last month, Pete and Kim joined her sister Khloe Kardashian for Korean BBQ. And Khloe confessed that she initially believed Kim just felt temporarily infatuated with Pete.

But now, the Good American clothing founder believes the romance seems real. As a result of spending so much time with the couple, Khloe feels “convinced,” added the source. But although Khloe approves, one former KUWTK star definitely does NOT!

And Kanye West doesn’t just disapprove. As a result of his annoyance, West allegedly spread rude rumors about Pete. But that campaign reportedly failed to turn off Kardashian. And instead, it reportedly made Kim and Pete even closer. 

But does the ultimate ruler of Kim’s life approve or disapprove? The VIP (very important person) in Kardashian’s life “one hundred percent approves of Kim’s relationship with Pete,” shared another KUWTK insider. And we’re referring, of course, to Kardashian’s mother/manager Kris Jenner! “She has known Pete for years, trusts him and has even invited him to their Christmas festivities,” added the source.
