Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian seemed to enjoy a life overflowing with happiness ever since their romance began. But just days after the musician and reality TV star tied the knot in Italy, Travis suddenly experienced a health emergency. And with his new wife by his side, Barker headed to a medical clinic.

Kourtney Kardashian typically enjoys sharing with social media. And the reality TV star tends to post everything from sexy selfies to her cute kids. But when her new husband Travis Barker almost died, Kourtney changed her tone. And she joined Barker in discussing details of his scary illness, noted Page Six.

Travis kicked off the sharing by dishing up details of his hospitalization in the wake of reports that he had experienced “life threatening pancreatitis.” And the musician turned to Instagram to reveal exactly what happened. “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,” shared Barker.

In addition, Travis revealed what caused the problem. Barker had a “small polyp” removed in a “very sensitive area usually handled by specialists.” However, it “unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.” As a result, the musician experienced “severe life threatening pancreatitis.”

Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker – ‘Grateful’ For Improvement

Travis and Kourtney both emphasized their gratitude for his improved health. For instance, Barker wrote, “I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment i am currently much better.” And he put a prayer emoji to conclude his comments.

However, Kardashian put her emphasis on the health care providers at the hospital. “Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis,” shared Kourtney on her Instagram. “I’m so so thankful to our specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.”

The health scare began when Travis experienced pain at home. As a result, he visited West Hills Hospital and Medical Center. But what that medical center discovered warranted a rush to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for more specialized care.

In addition to Kourtney, Travis’ daughter Alabama, 16, has shared her emotional response to her father’s condition. “Please say a prayer,” requested Alabama. And Barker’s former wife also commented. “I pray for a speedy recovery and for the comfort of my children as I know they are very concerned and worried,” stated Shanna Moakler. “I know with his support system he will do it again.”
