The one and only Brian Cox has been tapped to join a new Amazon unscripted series that will see him play the part of “The Controller.” Here’s what we know about the British game show.
All About Brian Cox’s “Villainous” Role In Amazon Studio’s Unscripted Competition Series
According to a report, the British “James Bond” inspired game show is coming from 72 Films and MGM Alternative, in collaboration with James Bond producers EON productions. It will be launching later this year exclusively on Prime Video worldwide.
The “Succession” alum Brian Cox, who is just coming out of playing his villainous character Logan Roy in the series, will be joining the show “The Controller.”
To spice up the excitement whilst keeping to the James Bond theme, the game show will be shot in famous James Bond locations including the Scottish Highlands, Venice and Jamaica.
Cox will be an “enigmatic” emcee, “who controls the fate of the contestants,” with hus character set to become more “villainous and cultured” as the contestants advance through the challenges.
“I got to see how ordinary people would cope with being on a James Bond adventure. As they travel the world to some of the most iconic Bond locations, it gets more intense and nail-biting.
I enjoyed my role as both villain and tormentor, with license to put the hopeful participants through the mangle,” Cox said of the upcoming Amazon reality series.
How Will The Competition Series Challenge Contestants And What Will They Walk Away With
“007’s Road To A Million” will see contestants compete in groups of two on challenges that will test their intelligence, resilience and heroism for the chance to win $1.2 million.
Conquering obstacles isn’t the only thing that the contestants will be required to do, as they will have to answer questions hidden in the different locations correctly in order to advance to the next level.
More details are set to emerge about the show as the premiere date nears.
