Outlander Star Sam Heughan’s Secret Hallmark Movie Set To Premiere

OutlanderOutlander spoilers and updates tease that Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, on the show, has a few acting credits prior to being cast on the show. One of these was a Hallmark Christmas movie, which is set to be relaunched once again as part of the network’s “Countdown to Christmas” programming this year.

Outlander Spoilers – A Princess For Christmas

Before Outlander, the 41-year-old actor starred on A Prince for Christmas, which originally debuted in 2011. He co-starred with Katie McGrath, who played Jules Daly, and the late Roger Moore, who portrayed the role of Edward, the Duke of Castlebury. In the movie, he starred as Prince Ashton of Castlebury. He was cast for the role early in his career.

A Prince for Christmas follows the story of Jules Daly who becomes the legal guardian of her teenage nephew and niece after the death of their parents. One day Jules finds out that her late sister was married to nobility. She and the kids receive an invitation to go to Europe to meet Edward, their grandfather, and spend the holidays together.

Jules was reluctant at first but realized later on that the kids need to know who their family is. Unfortunately, Edward regrets inviting them to his house since Christmas has become a reminder of his son’s death. But there she also meets Ashton, and they fall in love with each other.

Outlander Spoilers –  Sam Heughan’s Fond Memories Of Filming the Show

In an interview with Parade.com, the actor has a lot of memories to share about the time he filmed the flick.

In an exclusive interview, he believed that he’s a better actor now than before. But he admitted that he loved that movie primarily because he got to work with Roger Moore. The actor said Moore was one of the most famous Bonds so working with him was incredible. He met a lot of people and helped him become the actor that he is today.

Heughan also revealed that his butler (Miles Richardson) in the Hallmark Christmas movie appeared in the last season of Outlander.

“He played one of the redcoat officers and Tim Downie, who last season played Governor Tryon, also played my butler in a Tennent’s advert, so we have a great photo where I am with my two former butlers who are now redcoats,” he shared.

Catch Heughan play a different role by tuning in to Hallmark Channel’s Christmas programming. It’s scheduled to air on November 23, December 18, 20, and 31.
