Sunny Hostin Signs Deal With The View

The View has signed a multi-year deal with co-host Sunny Hostin. This deal will keep her on the popular daytime talk show through the show’s 28th season. Hostin joined the cast as a co-host back in 2016.

Hostin is an American journalist, lawyer and television host. Hostin is the Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst for ABC News. She was also the host and executive producer of Investigation Discovery’s true crime series Truth About Murder with Sunny Hostin. A report from Variety notes that Hostin’s deal will also include her continuing to appear in some special projects for the ABC network which will include Soul of a Nation and her providing commentary on the network’s flagship news programs such as Nightline, Good Morning America and 20/20.
Hostin made appearances on CNN, Fox News, CourtTV and much more. She was also a legal correspondent for ABC news and an analyst before being named a co-host of The VIews.
Hostin was born on October 20, 1968, in New York City to a Puerto Rican mother named Rosa Beza and an African American father named William Cummings. She was raised in The Bronx, New York City and attended the all-girls Dominican Academy. She is known to be bilingual in English and Spanish. Hostin received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Rhetoric from Binghamton University where she attended and her Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School. It is fun to see her get a multi-year deal with The View.
The Contract Status Of The Other Members Of The View
Whoopi Goldberg also signed a new multi-year deal in September 2021 which keeps her on the show through Season 28. Also, Joy Behar signed a new deal in May of this year which will keep her on the show through Season 28.
The View was created by Barbara Walters and ranks as one of daytime television’s most-watched programs. It has received several awards and is one of the highest-rated daytime television programs of all time. Fans can gear up for some episodes to come as Season 26 of “The View” launches in September on ABC.
