Tom Brady Admits That He Wants To See His Kids Fail In Life

Tom Brady might have had a lot of success in his professional life so far, but if there’s one thing that he wants for his children, it’s failure. But it’s not exactly what you think. The NFL great says that he wants his children to experience failure just so they can learn what “they are made of.” Here’s what you need to know.

Tom has three children. He shares his two kids, Benjamin and Vivian, with his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. He also has a 15-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynihan.

In his most recent podcast for ‘Let’s Go!’ the Tampa Bay quarterback said that he wants his kids to experience failure because it will allow them to exercise resilience.

He put it this way, “In life, you try a lot of things, and you fail. It’s part of life. We try things, we really push ourselves to try … something new, and it doesn’t go the way we want. So what do you do? Do you care less? Do you care more? Or do you take that experience for what it was and you try to learn from it and grow from it and find the resilience we all want to teach our children?”

But when Tom was asked if his kids are afraid to fail, he responded that most people find it difficult to deal with their personal failures.

“I think naturally it’s probably hard for everybody in our society to feel like you can fail or you can say the wrong thing,” he said. “There are heavy repercussions to even admitting you fail.”

He also said that at the end of the day it’s the relationships that you build that matter the most.

“Life is a people business,” Brady said. “… My life is very rich because of the amazing people I’ve had in my life that have supported me to help me achieve my dreams in so many ways over and over and over again.”
